The jehovah witness did this in the late 70's. Neighboor told us we need to reform (not celebrate Christmas and take away our birthdays). We offered to buy his house for $10,000 so he and his family could go to Hawaii and enjoy themselves until doomsday.

Oh please. What is going on now has all happened before(many times) and will happen again. God will not be second guessed.
When YHWH sends final warnings there are those who mock those who see the warnings. It never goes well for the mockers and the doubters.
We do not know the day or hour. Only the FATHER knows, but we will know the season.
Only a young kid would think current events are “the end”.
Anyone over the age of 18 has seen hurricanes and other things before.
So many people have become narcissistic drama queens pronouncing “IT BEGINS”, and “IT’S STARTED”, and “END OF TIMES!!!”
Attention seeking behaviors, also known as immaturity.
You do realize that you are quoting Scripture, don’t you? Do you knows what Scripture? It would be well for you to find out and heed its warning.
Wouldn’t it be cool if G-d would send a blessing to the whole world for just one minute? Empty out children’s hospitals, erase islam. One minute.
IMO, you have to admit that current events give you pause to think about the end times. Houston, Florida and North Korea’s Hydro explosion releasing radiation. Just thinking out loud.
Eleven days to go and the scoffers are coming out of their holes. We can only pray that they become Tribulation Saints. Those who don’t read Prophecy are doomed to experience it.
But the track record of "those who see the warnings" is so poor. For centuries, now, every couple of decades, someone comes along claiming to know the mind of God, issuing apocalyptic warnings. In every instance, they've been dead wrong.

Au contraire, the mockers and the doubters have been 100% correct - and it has always gone well for them. The poor fools who have quit their jobs, sold all their belongings, and waited on mountain-tops - For them, it has not gone so well.

The atomic tests conducted by the U.S.S.R., the U.S.A., and China in the 1950s and 1960s released far more radiation.

Well you might have noticed that no one is quitting their job and selling their house this time. We are all preparing for the worst and praying for the best, just as Jesus told us to do. We are also studying the Scriptures and praying daily, because Daniel 12 tells us that “the daily” will be taken away 1290 before the abomination that causes desolation. That is 30 days before the start of the Tribulation.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
