I would strongly dispute the idea that “very little truth comes from ritual” as you said.

You might be more right than me on that point, the truth has a way of finding us from strange places.

I am simply saying that the word of God should not be taught based on my or your experience on what the truth is but by Gods word only and he put what he wanted in the Bible.

I believe every one should read the Bible only and then draw their own conclusions.

The members of a Church i once went to was doing a ritual one evening, the preacher knew that it was my first time there so he explained that the ritual they were doing was not in the Bible but it was just something they wanted to do.

I really appreciated that simple honesty.

You have an amiable way of expressing your point of view, and I appreciate that.

My husband and I were just discussing that verse from Isaiah 55, where the Lord says, “My ways are not your ways, nor are my thoughts your thoughts. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so high are my ways above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.”

It’s always good go remember, especially when we sparring FReepers have a difference of opinion, that the Lord is way, way above all of us.

And HE is ALL good.

Thank God for that!!
