...and it’s something we should practice to keep the ‘old man’ in check until Jesus returns anyways.

Rapture fairy tales are for the adversary’s lieutenants.

Do you really want to go there?

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV

13 Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we also believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

Your turn.

.
There is nothing in 1 Thessalonians about a “rapture.”

It is the gathering in the spirit at the Last Trump; the very same one Paul cited in 1 Corinthians 15.

Paul is telling them that it just hasn’t happened yet.

He also tells those same Thessalonians that it cannot happen until the apostate “falling away” has come, and the “Man of Sin” is revealed.

It looks like the “falling away” is upon us and is in full control of “Christianity.” We wait now only for that man of sin to stick his ugly head up, and stand on the mercy seat of the Ark to declare himself to be “God.”

That will of course require Yehova’s consent. So far six of the Pharisees’ Cohenim have been struck dead trying to get near the Ark, and their carcasses had to be dragged out by the now deceased Ron Wyatt, who was the only mortal man allowed to see the Ark.

This is fun stuff if you’re on Yehova’s side; not so much for Dispys and Pharisees.
