American General now wants to deposit the $1.9 million insurance proceeds in an interest-bearing account until a federal judge makes a decision on who should get the money.

Yes, I'll bet they do! I'd like to be a fly on the wall in their legal department ;-). There's nothing a life insurance company hates more than a dispute over the proceeds.

While I don’t side with the widow, I think the police and prosecutors acted poorly in arresting her while in church. I’m sure it made for good video, but it also sets a bad example.
