The purpose was not to ‘win’ an argument, but, plant seeds of truth, and where God elected prophets forewarned what would be... I figured some would not have heard of Ezekiel, and others could not find the book and I made it easy to read what God had to say about a rapture doctrine. IF God did not instruct a rapture doctrine, then who did????

Ezekiel is denouncing the false prophets in Babylon who are preaching a “God would never destroy Jerusalem” message — and that Jerusalem would not fall in the upcoming third incursion by Nebuchadnezzar. This passage has not a thing to do with the Rapture and seldom/never does anyone us Ezekiel (or Deuteronomy, Leviticus, Song of Solomon) to argue for or against the Blessed Hope.

The critical passages over the Rapture involve Daniel’s 70 Week Prophecy in Daniel 9, the promise of the LJC in John 14, and Paul’s comments in I Thessalonians 4.
