Thank the Catholic Church and the Battle of Lepanto dedicated to Mary, for being the reason you have not been born into Islam or enslaved by it. Cause and effect. If God did not give Constantine a vision of the cross, then the edict of Milan would not have been written and the Church would not have grown from a mustard seed into the biggest tree, therefore Islam would have overrun the world.

They enlisted the help of the Jews to get rid of the Muslims. When that was done, they enlisted Tomás de Torquemada to get rid of the Jews.

So many close calls in history with pushing back the Muslims. Charles Martel...Tours...also pivotal.
We are at a pivotal time in history now, also. The Muslims are winning in Europe and they don’t even need a sword this time.

Miguel de Cervantes (future author of ‘Don Quixote’) fought in that battle.

God would have used something else to stop the muslim hordes if the Catholic church weren't around.
He's not dependent on them or beholden to them.
It's the gospel that's the mustard seed, not Catholicism.

I live in Almuñécar, Spain and from my terrace I can see the cross on Peñon del Santo, the rock at the old harbor entrance, that marks the defeat of the Arabs, their surrender at Almuñécar, and the beginning of Christian rule in 1489. The Alhambra Palace at Granada was surrendered in 1492 and was used by Ferdinand and Isabella when Columbus came for sponsorship of his voyage to discover America. So the battle of Lepanto may have been important but there would have been no battle at all if Granada hadn't been won first.

God delivered king Ahab in battle as well, bad as he and the northern kingdom was. The southern kingdom was where the the temple was.
God used Egypt to preserve Abraham, Israel, and the infant Son of God.
Blah, blah, blah yo seff. lol

If God did not give Constantine a vision of the cross, then the edict of Milan would not have been written and the Church would not have grown from a mustard seed into the biggest tree, therefore Islam would have overrun the world. And so what is the argument behind this polemical assertion? That men are to perpetually follow the victors of providential victories, or only as long as they win?
The victory of the Holy League is of great importance in the history of Europe and of the Ottoman Empire, marking the turning-point of Ottoman military expansion into the Mediterranean, although the Ottoman wars in Europe would continue for another century. It has long been compared to the Battle of Salamis both for tactical parallels and for its crucial importance in the defense of Europe against imperial expansion.[11] It was also of great symbolic importance in a period when Europe was torn by its own wars of religion following the Protestant Reformation, strengthening the position of Philip II of Spain as the "Most Catholic King" and defender of Christendom against Muslim incursion, although this was mitigated by the defeat of the Spanish Armada by the Royal Navy of England in 1588.[12] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Lepanto

Thank Martin Luther and his lack of FEAR of the Catholic Church for being the reason you have not been born into Catholicism or deluded by it.

Hope you do not hurt your arm by twisting it around so, to pat your chosen religious organization on the back!
