Be that as it may, WE'RE not the ones who screech and accuse like an offended Pharisee because someone points out boldfaced lies we tell about the Bible supporting our man made doctrines.

True.

You guys had the rack, the boiling vat and the iron maiden at your beck and call.

Historically you are a bunch of SADISTS.

Sleep well tonight!

Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. John 6:53

And then He appeared to the disciples behind closed doors and NONE of them wanted to bite him or lick his wounds.

Opinions are always declarative(and often cleverly hidden exclamations),our words are recorded by the angels in heaven, even yours! I’m not retracting anything or prevaricating. My words stand as they are!

Jesus is the Christ, come in the flesh! He is man and God, the very Word that is God from the beginning, embodied in flesh! He is human as well having been tested at all points as humans are tested! He is God having created all things and there is nothing that exists that Jesus did not have a part in! He was begotten of the Father and conceived by the Holy Spirit with the Virgin Mary! He was sent by the Father out of his love for the world that men might be given eternal life thru the forgiveness of their sins; he was crucified but rose again! That is what I believe!

If you think I prevaricate then test my “prevarications” against 1 John 4! No Christian gets it all right and if I fail, I shall be upbraided by God directly or by HIM thru very knowledgeable teachers! Yet I will not deny the Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, and even so I do declare it in this forum and others! Just to declare and even exclaim...”Jesus Christ is come in the flesh,” as 1 John 4 states is a facilitation by the Holy Spirit or as verse 1-3 states:
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”!

You have accused me so test my words against 1 John 4! Though it may be suggested that “Devils believe”, no Devil will admit or is allowed to admit openly that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, that he is the very Word of God, and also very human(”For before Abraham was” Jesus stated, very “declaratively”, “I AM!”)! For Devils to do so would be to cause divisions in their kingdom and to work against Satan’s plan to keep the world in darkness!

Now I try to test what I say against 1 John 4 to make sure that what I say doesn’t diminish the divinity of Jesus Christ! You may differ in your opinions with me and think that some of my opinions are off base, but I challenge you to find anywhere that I have “prevaricated” in that I have some how diminished the divinity of Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of the living God!(I have now moved beyond declaratives and am now using exclamatory statements, may Heaven forgive me!(?))

So do you persist in speaking the truth because you get some kick out of being beaten with a stick?(referring to your comment “Perhaps on the order of Balaam’s ride”)...snigger! I nearly laughed out loud when I read it! I wonder if he even knows what you were referring to!

How about we just cut through your rhetorical blitzkrieg and you just tell me how the Bible gives you a declarative on why eating His Flesh and drinking His Blood so absurd, but being “born again” isn’t?

You have a LOT of wants, it seems.

That's because you never let the truth stand in the way of a snappy response.

I'm challenging your knee-jerk "non-sequetur" claim.

Do I think you'll actually map out your charge? Not a chance.

You'll use every dodge in the book, but you will NOT support your accusation with anything but petulance and carping.

Sorry, PT, but I've not commented on MY doctrines.

You can NOT be that obtuse.

My tag line isn't there just for decoration you know.

What you HAVE commented on tells me as much about the doctrines you subscribe to as the buffoons who want to put islam on the same continuum of tolerance as all other religions tells me about their ignorance of islam.

That's what I love about you guys. You can always be counted on to parade your vanity and spite when you're faced with somebody who knows the Bible as well or better than you do, but knows you don't "go by the Bible" anymore than the Catholics you criticize.

I wonder if you know what I mean when I say your attitude reminds me of David's older brother?

Just test my my words against 1 John 4!(exclamation point!).I have never said the eating of his flesh and drinking of his blood was absurd! Show me where I have said that! You have put words into my mouth! I think you are the one who is prevaricating!

What I said was that if at Passover, the bread and wine literally became Jesus’ flesh and blood, then the disciples would have recorded it!(said with exclamation point!) Jesus was using symbolism to describe his coming death where-upon his body would be broken and his blood poured out for the remission of sins! He then stated that it was all to be done in “remembrance” of him!
Spiritually we eat of and drink of Christ’s body everyday! Does not Paul state “The outer man perishes but the inner man is renewed day by day.”? Now how is our “inner man” to be renewed day by day unless by the Spirit of Christ who is our spiritual food and our drink? Oh no, I would never declare that the eating of Christ’s body and of his blood is an absurdity but that is a daily thing we must do spiritually! The cup and the bread that we celebrate are done in “remembrance” of Christ as he so commanded and is a reminder to all of us, of the spiritual transactions done in the hearts and spirits of believers by the Holy Spirit daily!

Thus I so do declare, exclaim, and do proclaim! All praise to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord!

There was no "New Testament" in their time. Scripture was something else. You simply don't know if there is a principle in there that's meant to extend forward in time to cover whatever might later be added.

But admitting when something is unclear would be contrary to the workings of fundamentalism. The pattern of the fundamentalist is to dogmatically contradict himself in two steps:

  1. Insist he can interpret the Scriptures for himself
  2. Speak his interpretations as categorical facts

I'm reminded of listening to Hank Hannegraff on the radio. You know he's bumping up against the logical limits of his system when he strains really hard on the word "clearly," as in, "Scripture cleeeeeeeeearly states..."

It is ironic because you have more or less accused me of “insolence and wickedness” as Eliab does with David but I have not accused you of anything but simply having a difference of opinion from my own! Do you really not look in a mirror before flinging accusations like you have done, eh Eliab? You have detected what you think is a kind of arrogance in my “declarations” and thus like ELIAB you thus accuse me! Just test me against 1 John 4! I tested you! You have not said anything against the divinity of Jesus Christ so my differences with you are merely in the realm of opinion!

You accuse me of vanity, well honey child, I do admit I’m full of it and so are you...it’s an occupational hazard of being human, that curse of Adam we live with! Only the grace of God can ever save us both from it!

By the way, Eliab means...God is Father. One starts to understand now why Jesus says “And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven” Matthew 23:9.

By the way...the MD in my name stands for Michael DAVID!

I should add there's a danger of pushing fundamentalists into atheism by deconstructing what you're doing and just leaving it at that.

As with all heresies, there's something underneath fundamentalism that boils down to a naked act of the will. I'm going to insist that the Scriptures are not meant to be a mathematical "proof-text system" like Euclidean geometry, so we shouldn't treat them that way. It would then make sense to say, okay, what are they for, then?

I'm sure being blasphemous and profane has much to do with it.
