"And, as usual, that verse is taken out of context. The verse about listening to the church in no way establishes it as an ultimate hierarchical system that Rome has become."

Did I write that? I certainly did not, nor did I imply it, nor did I think it.

I do wish you're quit imputing to me what I did not say. It unfairly puts me int he position of having to refute things I never said to begin with.

We'd both learn a lot more, I think, and appreciate each other better,if we would ASK the other person what they believe, rather than TELL them what they believe.

The only thing you can really confidently TELL, is what YOU believe. It would be more pro

You are slick, but still just decerptive. Your tagline up thread where metmom referred is in fact a deceptive liss application of what the local body of believers are to do if one does not accept the spiritual urging from THE LOCAL body of believers. Your NICOLAITAN org has mutated that to empower your org, not release the HOLY SPIRIT direction ofr the sinner in the local body of believe4rs.

You are exposed, once again. Which face will we get in response this time?

OK; I will.

Could you please explain WHY you left off the verses leading up to the one you posted?

It CLEARLY shows that 'listening to the church' is intended for a dispute between believers.

Posting the verse along with the reply you made...

People who don’t appreciate hierarchy won’t appreciate the Book of Acts or the Epistles, where we see the basic hierarchy of diaconoi - presbyteroi-episcopoi being established by the calling of select men and the laying on of hands; and, as Fr. Pope’s article points out, the calling of authoritative councils and synods.

Tagline, from Matthew — a direct quote from Jesus.

...shows something quite different than what you are trying to explain away here:

The verse about listening to the church in no way establishes it as an ultimate hierarchical system that Rome has become."

Did I write that? I certainly did not, nor did I imply it, nor did I think it.
