16 And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.
17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.
Isn't that about normal for Catholics? Twisting scripture is about the only way to make it agree with their interpretation of doctrine.
2nd Peter 3:16, their first pope says, As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
So, all I can say is, it's not a good idea to wrest scripture. It might lead to their destruction. We don't know anyone who does that, do we? 😀
