Psalm 133

Psalm 133

A song of ascents. Of David.

1 How good and pleasant it is
    when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
    running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
    down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent,
How Wonderful,
How Pure and Holy is Your Name Over All The Earth!
Ancient Of Days,
Rock of Ages,
King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
You Alone Are worthy of Worship,
For You Alone Are The One True God!

1. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Blessings and Peace To All Who Praise Your Name!
How Good and How Pleasant It Is,
When Your Children Recognize Your Glory,
And Stand Together As One,
To Lift Up Your Name In Praise and Prayer!
We thank You With All Our Hearts!

2. It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3. It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the LORD commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.

Together We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
That Your Will Bring Peace To That Troubled Land.
We Pray That You Will Give Wisdom and Discernment to The Leaders of Israel,
And To Our Own Nation.
Anoint Them with the Oil of Your Holy Spirit,
That They May See The World Situation with Your Eyes,
And Make Their Decisions in Accordance With Your Will.
May Peace descend Upon the Mountains Of Zion,
Like The Dew of Mt. Hermon,
As The LORD Commands the Blessing,
Life Forevermore.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

This short, sweet, and precious gem in the Songs of Ascents speaks of the joys of Believers dwelling together in Harmony. It is important that the "harmony" does not come at the expense of compromising our Faith merely to "Keep the Peace". It is a fine line sometimes, but Faithfulness to the Truth should never be sacrificed to avoid conflict.

That being said, it is important to "pick your battles". Do you really want to break fellowship with someone over peripheral issues such as foods or local customs? Paul goes into detail about these futile arguments that break up unity in the Letter to Titus. Perhaps Paul was thinking of this Psalm!

He Who scattered Israel will gather him; and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock" (Jeremiah 31:10). Father, continue to draw the Jewish people to Yourself according to Your sovereign Hand.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. Let them be as grass upon the housetops, which wither before it grows up (Psalm 129:5-5). LORD, deal justly and swiftly with Your enemies.

Destroy and divide the tongues of those who would incite violence against Israel (Psalm 55:9). In the Name of Jesus, we bind every false religion and false doctrine that does not acknowledge Your eternal plan for the land and people of Israel.

The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous (Psalm 125:3). Father, break the strongholds of religion, pride and wickedness that seek to control Israel.

Show Your loving kindness to Your people Israel and keep them as the apple of Your eye. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress them, from their deadly enemies who surround them (Psalm 17, 7-9).

We pray that You would remember Your covenants and promises towards Israel, especially when others rise up against her to swallow her alive. When their wrath is kindled against her, the waters will not overwhelm her. God will not give her as a prey to their teeth (Psalm 124). ************************************************************ And LORD, please bless the creator of this thread, we strengthen your hands, ml/ltos, and we ask that your arms be lifted up right now in the battle. We pray a healing to her physical body. LORD don't allow her to be assaulted by the enemy for doing good to Israel. LORD we also pray for the electronic equipment, and take authority over undue warfare, stress and harassment. Bless her property, possessions and pets. And any blessing being withheld from our sister must now be released to her in full measure. Ps. 128:3, "May the LORD bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life"; Psalm 134:3 "May the LORD who fashions heaven and earth bless you from Zion".
