What would have happened if the FC, sat on their hands, or took the day off, when Ryan was voted on to be speaker of the house? Would Ryan still be speaker? Probably.

But at least then they would be standing on the moral high ground to oppose anything he wanted to do. They could at least say, "Hey, we didn't vote for that rascal, so we have the moral authority to oppose everything he wants"

As it is today, they come off as nothing but political hacks, who's only interest is preserving their own money, property or prestige.

Their "conservative principles" are for sale. Hypocrites is the nice word.

How in the .ell do you not find hypocrisy in the ways of lying Ryan. He flipping took an oath of office to protect and defend our Constitution. Yet, he NEVER took one single issue with the ways and means of that ineligible president Obama. Why did lying Ryan personally, as Speaker of the House take on the project ‘secretly’ to supposedly repeal ObamaCare? This mess is on lying Ryan's head and his head alone... because he refused to allow anyone but his donors to write his fake repeal.

You tell me who is top priority in lying Ryan’s plots... Republican donors, who he took the time to assure they would be care for in his tenure as Speaker of the House... When has this punk ever came out and spoke to ‘we the people’ about his intentions.

Of course Ryan is a lying, scoundrel only looking out for his own self-interest, and his wife's too, I think at one time she was a lobbyist for some insurance companies.

The problem with FC is they knew that full well going in, it's not like they were blindsided. So, again what moral high ground does FC stand on, in opposing anything Ryan does? He is the leader they voted for, maybe they held their nose when they voted, but they did vote for the lying, scoundrel.

Why, not take the gloves off, play hard ball, stand up for your closely held "principles", no matter the cost, when it really could have spared everyone the mess we are in now.

Because if they did, then horror of horrors, they would not get the plumb committee chairs, or the funds for pet projects.

We just have to face reality.
