Me

A few days ago, after witnessing blatant hypocrisy by certain members of a
particular Caucus in Washington D.C, I decided to start my own Caucus here on Freerepublic.

(Please note: This is a "King James Bible Believers Caucus" thread,
if you disagree that the KJB is the preserved word of God, this is not the thread for you.)

FREE REPUBLIC'S CAUCUS RULES:

Who can post? Members of the caucus and those specifically invited. What can be posted? Anything but the beliefs of those who are not members of the caucus. What will be pulled? Reply posts mentioning the beliefs of those who are not members of the caucus. If the article is inappropriate for a caucus, the tag will be changed to open. Who will be booted? Repeat offenders.

Today's KJB Verse:

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Hypocrites are deceived by their own hypocrisy, it brings destruction to unbelievers, and it dishonors God.

The con artist gets your money, because you didn't realize you were being deceived.
If you had known you were being deceived you would not have let it happen.

Should your representative in Congress be a rubber stamp for everything that Speaker Ryan wants to do? Practically all politicians seem to be hypocrites, it’s just that some are worse than others.

Can you be a member if you also value other versions?

I love the KJV for its poetry but read the NIV for clarity. I’d like to be on your list as well.

I’m with you on the KJV, however, read the ESV for clarity.

Please add me to your ping:

As stated in my profile, KJB only all other so-called versions are absolute perversions. The Devil loves them though “Yea hath God said”!

I was glad to see you referenced the King James Bible and not the king james “version”, which is another subtil form of perversion, yea I’m that much of a nit-picker.

Hold on a minute. You cannot open a Religous Caucus thread and make a political statement like this. No more than you could say that NIV readers are going to Hell.

The thing is with translations that sometimes words and phrases have no direct translation so the next best thing is used. This is what’s called “Dynamic Equivalency” meaning that this is the closest we can come to the meaning; but then of course it depends on what denomination is doing the translating.

Before I pitch in on this I need to make sure you are onboard with the true KJ Bible. What version or edition are you defending?

I simply stated where I got the motivation to start the thread, can motivation for doing something only come from a certain place? And where in my explanation did I say NIV believers go to hell?

What I understand about a Religion Caucus thread is that you are not allowed to insult or make inflammatory statements that violate the beliefs of others.

For instance in a Catholic thread they can discuss the Virgin Mary all day long. But if they claim the Catholic Church is the One True Church, then they are open to criticism from non Catholics.

And in your case, you made an incorrect political comment that is not based in reason or reality. In essence you hijacked your own thread right from the get go.

I gave my opinion on a historical event, and that event inspired me to start a thread in the religion forum. I told the reason on why I started this thread, because I thought others might like to be made aware of how it came about.

It is kind of like how you have an opinion:

And in your case, you made an incorrect political comment that is not based in reason or reality.

And that opinion inspired you to break the rules right off the bat.
