There once was a day (long before Vatican II and the scourge of heretical ecumenism) when the holy sisters who taught many of us our religion, would have read that “universal” prayer and told us not to dare say it because it was a “Protestant” prayer. A Catholic prayer, they would have insisted, would would have used the word “Catholic” instead of Christian.

But the Catholics in the pews today (including those on the altar like Monsignor Pope), are so completely indoctrinated with the Modernist influences of the Second Vatican Council they see little difference between the heretical Protestant religions and the one true Catholic Church. Most are so far gone that aren’t even aware that there’s a problem. Oh but a day will come when the will learn there is.

The other side of the coin is evangelization -- to bring those fallen away Catholics and others in Protestant Churches back to the Catholic Church.

“A Catholic prayer, they would have insisted, would have used the word “Catholic” instead of Christian.”

My version does not include either word.

Do the versions on YouTube?

That said, the Catholic Church is the original Christian Church, and remains thoroughly Christian—despite the best efforts of the enemies within in concert with the Enemy.

Belay my last. I see that you were talking about the prayer in the OP.

Sorry.

That is very telling about the mind set of the roman catholic.

To be a follower of Christ is to be called a Christian.

...and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And for an entire year they met with the church and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Acts 11:26 NASB

Being Catholic and $2 will get you a cup of coffee

Being Protestant and $2 will get you a cup of coffee and a glass of water.
