San Diego Bishop Tells Catholics to 'All Become Disrupters'
NewsMax ^ | February 20, 2017 | Deal W. Hudson

Both the Catholic bishops of the United States and the Vatican have now virtually endorsed the strategy of “disruption” being used across the nation to oppose the new administration of President Trump. Held in Modesto, California, the U.S. Regional World Meeting of Popular Movements (WMPM), was sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Vatican’s Department of Integral Human Development to address issues of “land, labor, and lodging,” as well as racism and immigration.

The 700 attendees applauded and cheered as Bishop Robert McElroy of San Diego told them, “President Trump was the candidate of disruption. . . . Well now, we must all become disrupters.” Bishop McElroy, along with Chicago Archbishop Cardinal Blaise Cupich, has emerged as a leading voice among “social justice” Catholics determined to rally the Catholic Church to reject President Trump’s leadership and policy agenda...

With President Trump already well on his way to keeping all of his pro-life promises, it’s shocking that the Catholic bishops would align themselves with such of strategy of disruption and with allies sworn to oppose the core of the Church’s moral teaching. Lay Catholics, and many clergy, across the nation are not merely shocked, but disheartened and beginning to wonder if a formal schism is in the making.

So much for the Catechism.

Right! Expanding the power of government ALWAYS works out well!

If you think the No Borders bishops are motivated by mere interest in the collection plate, you grossly underestimate the evil they serve. These bishops are sodomites who support abortion, Muslim conquest, the destruction of Christianity and the West.

And they know that Hispanics give even less to the Church than Anglos!

Or is the Bishop saying we should all become more like Trump?

I agree with you.

Jesus wants us to be the salt. We should question, and strive to be good to all men.

Why would the media report anything on the Catholic Church fairly and correctly?

I take this story with a grain of salt. In one breath, he says Trump is a disrupter and in the next he says we should all be disrupters. Perhaps he was trying to say we should all be like Trump and fight for what’s right, disrupt the status quo, refuse to be politically correct, and support Life.

The Catholic church has lost it’s way.

What it looks like to me is that they support a one world religion, with a special role for the RCC. They want to be players.

Christlessness is part of the asking price.

Throughout its history the Catholic church has lied, robbed, tortured, murdered, usurped, conspired with mass murderers, and asserted its assumed supremacy over government policies throughout the world.

The Church of Rome is nothing but Islam in the guise of true Christianity. In that vein, it is nothing more than an enabler of jihad and the islamic drive towards a world caliphate.

This bishop epitomizes why the Roman Catholic church must be shoved into the ashcan of history.

Well if the Church advocates expanding the power of government, they should pay for it.

I agree.

Does this happen with protestant and other non-Catholic clerics, though?

"Tax the Church as a political organization."

Exactly!

Which is exactly what the supporters of SSM were arguing for last year. Churches not in favor of gay rights should lose their tax exemption.

Be careful what you wish for.

I’m sure if there was a non-Catholic pastor fomenting insurrection, it would be a major story here in the FR RF.

This is nothing short of demonic. What has Trump said or done that has the Catholic Church so afraid?

It doesn't have to be anything specific. Satan hates. It's his nature.

And simply that Trump represents godliness and righteousness and the enemy HATES that and that God raised him up and Satan can't really do anything about it. If Trump's under God's protection (and I believe he is), then Satan will attack other ways.

I haven’t heard any calls by non-Catholic clergy for becoming disrupters to oppose Trump.

It would not go over well in any church I attend. That’s for sure.

In your church, I would suspect the majority of the people, would find another church. In the church I attend, it would probably be very similar to their support of Duterte. 😀
