Jesus chose Judas, knowing he would betray Him.
He had already failed.
Jesus didn’t set him up to fail and I suspect that if Judas had repented as Peter did, that Jesus would have welcomed him back.

Jesus didnt set him up to fail and I suspect that if Judas had repented as Peter did, that Jesus would have welcomed him back.I think you are right MM. Even after Judas betrayed Jesus, I think the door was still open for repentance, and yes, Jesus would have welcomed him back.
