Eve was deceived. Adam wasn’t but went along with it anyway.
Same as it ever was...
Monsignor Pope Ping!
Eve blamed the serpent. Adam blamed God. “That woman You gave me, etc.”
It’s clear what the sins of each are. They rebelled from their respective offices. Eve tried to steal Adam’s authority and Adam allowed her to do so.
There is actually very little information to go on. Most of what we say about it is speculation. I will say that, at least based on what scripture said, Adam received the message about the garden from God. Eve got it from Adam. This may have been part of the problem.
I’ll say this, though: God put them in the garden and gave them all those instructions knowing full well they would violate them. It was a bit like putting a fox in the henhouse and saying, “enjoy your time and do what you want, but don’t mess with the chickens.”
i.e. Gods plan was for them to do what humans do - violate his instructions. Hence His plan to die for our sins, before Adam and Eve were created.
Adam made a willfully choice to join in his wife’s condition.
Excellent interpretation, Msgr. Pope.
Adam was deceived by an amateur, Eve by a pro.
He was a white Male in America? Wait, forget the America part.
La Raza and BLM and Gloria Allred blamed him?
The record also seems to show Adam was with Eve when she was deceived and took the fruit of the glory of self-effort. It appears Adam failed to warn Eve as God warned Adam, and he failed to protect her from the serpent .
Same old story. As true today as it was then. The lethal, self-destructive women’s’ movement and men applauding the whole way.
Adam was white? Based on what data?
.
Scripturally this is a simple question.
Adam, being our Father, gives his sin nature to all of us.
Eve’s sin is of no continuing consequence, since the mother does not transfer her sin nature to her offspring.
Those that read without bias know this.
.
“Adam was white? Based on what data?”
I thuoght white people were blue eyed devils?
It’ a joke. I think that stick is stuck.
Go to a hardware store. They have tools to remove it :)
.
Try just thinking!
At Adam’s time there was no reason for anyone to have pigmented skin. The environment was mild and stable before the judgement.

In more recent times, there have been allowances for women to serve as lectors, cantors, and singers. But the official teaching moment of the homily is still reserved to the male clergy
FWIW, this is also the practice of the LCMS, and is not likely to be altered anytime soon, if ever.
In modern times it may well be that St. Pauls caution is affirmed by the modern problem of liberal Protestant denominations that have a large number of women leaders. These same denominations have departed significantly from the orthodox Christian faith, denying basic tenets of the Trinity, moral teaching, and biblical interpretation. This is not the only reason, but there seems to be a high correlation between denominations that embrace women leaders and a departure from orthodox Christian belief.
This is quite true of those denominations that have swerved into liberal heresy. However, the evangelical movements in America and elsewhere also utilize women teachers and leaders, and they generally preach doctrine that, if not specifically Catholic, would conform to all of the major creeds, and also generally submits itself to Scripture. Whether this is an indication of their lack of faith in Christ that He will supply male leaders, or a lack of willingness among male Christians to step up to leadership (i.e., God is calling women out of necessity to spread the Gospel because the men are not taking their role), I would not presume to say.
For the wages of sin (disobedience with God) is death (Romans). Had God dealt righteously with Adam, God would have wiped out humanity and started over so, even prior to Abraham, God was displaying mercy to humankind and punishing them less than they deserved.
So Adam’s sin required a punishment of death.
Eve’s sin required a punishment of death.
Both received unmerited grace from God. What is different in their sins is not as important as what they both had in common. Every sin is ultimate sin and that the punishment in every case is death but for God’s mercy and grace which He bestows according to His perfect will.
Adam didn’t give Eve all the facts: “The Boss said that if we eat from that tree, then we will die. Don’t eat its fruit.”
All he said was don’t eat its fruit. No other data.
It was actually his fault.
