AMERICA Prayer Vigil - February 14, 2017

Merciful and Sovereign God, the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, we come before Your Eternal Throne of Grace, asking for a blessing upon our President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. Oh LORD, we seek YOUR WORD, on their behalf, and ask of YOU: Please, treat Thy servants well, may they rule as ones faithful to Your Word. Indeed, they are our leaders, but as all, they are but sojourners of this world for which we live now. Please, open their hearts and minds to Your Commands that they may lead us well.

Dear LORD, we look upon those who are arrogant and proud, those who are disdainful and disrespectful of our newly elected leaders, and we ask that You silence them. We pray for the Grace needed in our leaders to be free from their sneers and loosed from their conspiracies.

We thank YOU for blessing America with a long and loving alliance with Israel. Dear LORD, we bless Israel, we pray for the Salvation of all Israel, and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We ask that YOUR presence be in the meeting place of PM Netanyahu and President Trump. We ask for a solidarity and confidence in each other to be enjoyed, and LORD, we ask that the HOLY SPIRIT would breathe life into each one and that the Unity of the Gospel of Christ could be the stronger of the bonds that keep our nations and our leaders as one together. And we pray these things, in HIS GLORIOUS NAME. Amen.

Amen to your beautiful prayer.

Heavenly Father,

Sometimes it appears that evil is winning, but we don’t walk by sight. We see with eyes of faith.

Lord, we watch in horror all the chaos Satan is fomenting. It’s becoming difficult to distinguish truth from lies. Help President Trump to stay grounded in TRUTH.

Lord help us not to doubt Your promise. Your Word says Our victory is assured. Jesus has won the victory. Satan is a defeated foe.

Help us not to surrender to panic or despair. Let us be prepared, vigilant and faithful until our Savior’s return.

Lord, when we are overwhelmed by the brokenness of this world, help us to find peace in Your coming Kingdom and joy in Your eternal victory. Help us to rejoice even when it appears that evil is winning. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Isaiah 59
Warnings against Sin

59 Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is His ear too deaf to hear you call. 2 It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, He has turned away and will not listen anymore. 3 Your hands are the hands of murderers, and your fingers are filthy with sin. Your lips are full of lies, and your mouth spews corruption.

4 No one cares about being fair and honest. The people’s lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin. 5 They hatch deadly snakes and weave spiders’ webs. Whoever eats their eggs will die; whoever cracks them will hatch a viper. 6 Their webs can’t be made into clothing, and nothing they do is productive. All their activity is filled with sin, and violence is their trademark.

7 Their feet run to do evil, and they rush to commit murder. They think only about sinning. Misery and destruction always follow them. 8 They don’t know where to find peace or what it means to be just and good. They have mapped out crooked roads, and no one who follows them knows a moment’s peace.

9 So there is no justice among us, and we know nothing about right living. We look for light but find only darkness. We look for bright skies but walk in gloom. 10 We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes. Even at brightest noontime, we stumble as though it were dark. Among the living, we are like the dead. 11 We growl like hungry bears; we moan like mournful doves.

We look for justice, but it never comes. We look for rescue, but it is far away from us. 12 For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are. 13 We know we have rebelled and have denied the Lord. We have turned our backs on our God. We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. 14 Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. 15 Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice.

16 He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So He himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm, and His justice sustained him. 17 He put on righteousness as His body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on His head. He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion. 18 He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes. He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth.

19 In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify Him. For He will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord. 20 “The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the Lord. 21 “And this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the Lord, have spoken!

FATHER GOD,

You warned us. You spoke through the prophets the consequences of sin and what happens to nations that turn from You. AMERICA is reaping the whirlwind of its disobedience. We cry out to You for mercy and grace. We all have sinned and come short of Your glory. Only You, LORD, GOD of LOVE, can turn darkness into light.

Thank You, for giving us a way out of this through Your only Son, JESUS CHRIST. You loved us so much that You allow JESUS to suffer and die on a cross for our sins. There is no greater love than this. JESUS gave His all for us and won the victory over sin and death.

FATHER GOD, in You we put our trust. Our heart’s desire is to live in a nation blessed by You. Forgive us. Revive us. Restore. Come, heal our land.

In JESUS’ Name we pray. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, we thank You for the blessings You have bestowed on our country and families. Though we do not understand the trouble that arises before us each day we can have incredible peace knowing You govern all. You are not like us, fickle and self centered, prone to wander. You are steadfast. Lord, help us to be more like You each day.

Dear Lord, please give President Trump and Vice President Pence discernment beyond their abilities. Give them guidance to determine what needs to be done first and foremost and who is the right person for each job. Lord, may each mans desire be to honor You. Lord, if they don’t honor You in their hearts this moment draw them and their families. Send believers and Your eternal message just as You have done to all who seek for You to be glorified. Let Your Holy Word be in their ears and in their sight daily. Give them no rest till they bow at Your feet. Lord, there is no safer place in the world to be then in Your will. Let this truth resonate in the lives of all Americans.

Lord, I repent for myself and my countrymen and my family who have turned their backs on You. Especially when You clearly laid down Your laws in our hearts and in our experience. We each have done what was right in our own eyes. Lord, please cleanse the selfishness and pride that divides us from You and each other. You are the only One we need to please and in doing that we are humbled and peaceable with each other.

Thank You for not leaving us to our own fumbling sinful ways. Thank You for drawing us up out of the pit like You did for Joseph and Jeremiah. You are the only One who seeks to exchange our filthy rags for royal attire. Jesus Christ’s righteousness in place of our sin and guilty, prideful ways.

Praise be to Him who sits on throne!
Holy, holy, holy are You my King!
Let us bow before You this side of heaven.

2 Thess. 3:1 Furthermore, brethren, do pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may speed on (spread rapidly and run its course) and be glorified (extolled) and triumph, even as [it has done] with you,2 And that we may be delivered from perverse (improper, unrighteous) and wicked (actively malicious) men, for not everybody has faith and is held by it. 3 Yet the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen [you] and set you on a firm foundation and guard you from the evil [one].

And so we pray that the Word of the Lord will have free course and that our President and his staff will be delivered from perverse and wicked men. Strengthen them and set them on a firm foundation and guard them from the evil one. Thank You, Sir.

We pray that a replacement for Mike Flynn would quickly rise to the surface. May he or she be Your choice, Sir. For Gen. Flynn, You have a perfect plan for his life. Open the necessary doors to that place which will fulfill the “thoughts and plans for welfare and peace (that You have for him) and not for evil, to give him hope in his final outcome.”

Thank You, oh! thank You for being The place where we can deposit our concerns and know that Your love will take care of them all. We love and appreciate You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
