Fact: Islam condones beating women. The Koran declares: ‘…when you go to bed, hit them.’ This is in the ‘holy book of the muslim people’, Sura (chapter) 4:34. The Koran is supposedly a divine revelation to Islam’s founder, Muhammad, in the 7th century A.D. I wonder if the American women marching in protest would enjoy being beaten by their husbands in bed?
Fact: I personally saw a young girl in Morocco who came to me in tears. She held out her arms. Both her hands had been cut off. To this day I feel great guilt that I could not help her. All I can do is tell her terrible story, the girl with no hands, and tell the truth about Islam.
Had the girl stolen something? Sharia law has no mercy. The Bible, on the other hand, says: ‘He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but work, doing something useful with his own hands.’ Ephesians 4:28 Our God is full of mercy and loving kindness. I wrote about this before. I was in London, walking from a store, minding my own business and was slammed to the ground by a muslim, the breath knocked out of me. He was zigzagging, aiming for women and knocking them down on the cobblestone street, getting a good shoulder in for extra force. There were women on the ground behind me, in front of me and he was still going at it by the time I got to my feet and limped to my hotel room.
I wish the Chinese woman had been there.

Fact: I personally saw men who had been extensively tortured via medieval devices in Turkey; Fact: I personally heard the screams of a young boy {to be sold as an eunuch by his family} who was castrated without anesthetic, and the bowl of blood and flesh being carried away in Morocco (before I fled the country on the next available flight).
Islam is a bastion of evil in the true sense.
Its not just women, its everybody.

No there are no verses in the Bible which are the equivalent to the Quran’s instruction to behead nonbelievers.
I suspect that the quotes in the Bible are from the early Old testament when the Hebrews were conquering Canaan. That era was violent with many tinpot warlords running around.
Israel has always been a target for guys looking for more riches because it is part of the fertile crescent and it has shipping access to the mediterranean and the red sea.
But that was 3 to 4,000 years ago and it was a very different world. The Bible reflects those changes.
The Quran does not reflect those changes and seems stuck in early medieval war lord sensibilities.
Islam is not a religion. It’s just another form of government. All encompassing, like Communism or an Oligarchy, masquerading as a religion. Treat it as such.

The wife beating is part of the 7th century package of sensibilities. Jewish women were treated well as far back as you care to go.
I don’t know of any reference in the Bible that says beat your wife.

It is always worthwhile to read the sections before and after a quote in the Bible.
Deuteronomy 22:20 is a part of a long list of laws concerning marriage and there are some very severe punishments for violating those rules. Our current society brushes many of these violations off.
Why would the punishments be so severe? Because 4,000 years ago there were no antibiotics and no birth control. If a woman was not a virgin one would not know if she had std or not which could leave the sterile or which be passed on to the husband. Not good.
I suspect that stds were a real problem at that time.
There is also the question concerning whether that child that they just had was actually his or not. Inheritance laws were pretty tough in those days and a woman who was promiscuous was not wanted as the potential complications would be difficult.
I’m 66 and my dating life started before the pill and all guys were scared to death of getting a girl pregnant and being married at 17.
We are looking at ancient social laws with modern sensibilities and we frequently draw the wrong conclusions.
