St. Petersburg, January 18, Interfax - The relics of new martyrs who died for faith after the revolution in Russia will be brought to the dioceses of the Moscow Patriarchate in a special arc.
"The arc will be brought to all dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church," Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga was quoted as saying by the local metropolia.
The arc is now being made, the metropolitan said. It will contain the relics of all new martyrs whose remains have been obtained. The event will be held to mark the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution.
The names of several dozens of people who died for faith in the years after the revolution are now known, and over 1,000 of them have been called new martyrs. Among them are Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra Fyodorovna and their five children.
I think that’s “ark” not “arc”!

If I could interview Putin, I would love to ask him - to what extent are the Soviets directly responsible for the rise of atheism, cultural marxism, the destruction of religious faith, etc... in the West?
Would he admit that the Soviets exported their destructive ideology, and now that we have red-daiper mutants like Obama at the highest levels in the USA, how much of their cultural marxism is bouncing back against Russia itself, as Russia tries to find its faith?
Millenial russians think they are vicitms of the past - of outside forces that took over their country - and the orthodox russian millenials see the dark times as satanic. Chrome browser translates pages and makes reading russian a whole lot easier.
I do not mean soviet cultural influences over present day Russia - that is obvious.
Rather - how much did the Soviet Union directly form, support, influence and manipulate the AMERICAN Left in all its forms - education, environment, religious, cultural. We know they tried and they probably had many successes.
So my question for Putin is - your former nation exported the malign influences for which you now criticize the West. How big a role did they play???
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I hope that Putin has found Jesus in his heart and accepted his salvation. I praise Jesus and all the saints that the faith of Christ is returning to Russia! They will be a stronger people, nation and empire with the cross of Christ in their hearts. Would that America would do the same in our time.
There is/was a post soviet spymaster agent who made the rounds of talk shows 15 years ago. He stated again and again that the soviets had succeeded in making america a socialist state. His fear was that it would boomerang back onto Russia someday and this was before the rebirth of a Christian Russia (which some Russians still don’t know about). A Holy Christian Russia knows the progressives want to take them back to atheist bolshevism and want no part of the antichristian new world order. The bible says it takes 70 years for an evil generation to pass into history and that is how long it took communism to implode.
