Is God incapable of imparting to a man, His authority to forgive the sins of others and to withhold God’s forgiveness?

Still trying to get the ignorant to accept the old "if GOD can do it; it MUST have happened" ploy?

Where is the source for this claim ?In the Hebrew there is no “the” in “enmity between you and the woman”

Genesis 3:15

"I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
He will crush your head,
while you strike at his heel."

... they just don't want to have another Catholic telling them they are heretics and really Protestants at heart - especially not these Catholics that are protesting the loudest.

One thing that clearly stands in the way of Jesus the Son of God being your only path to God is remaining non-Catholic for so many of you, for He gave us the Church on Pentecost day.

You are so wrong about what, or rather WHO, saves.

It's not Catholicism.

It's not *the faith*.

It's Jesus HIMSELF, on an individual level as one comes to Him believing and trusting Him to save them.

One does NOT need to become Catholic to be saved any more than one needs to become any religion to be saved.

RELIGION does not save. It never has and never will.

Salvation by grace by believing

Becoming Catholic neither adds to our getting saved nor staying saved. That is fully God's work in us.

John 1:10-13 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:3-8 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

John 3:14-18 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Acts 16:27-31 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” And the jailer called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas. Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

2 Corinthians 6:2 For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Romans 3:20-30 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

Romans 10:9-13 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Protestants, on the other hand, do not heareth Jesus’ word when He says certain things that don’t agree with them, such as when He spoke of the need to eat His flesh and drink His blood to have everlasting life.

Protestants Catholics, on the other hand, do not heareth Jesus’ word when He says certain things that don’t agree with them, such as when He spoke of the need to eat His flesh and drink His blood to have everlasting life. said: call no man *Father.

By the way, the scriptures were authenticated by the Pope. Therefore, everything that you have ever read in an authentic Bible is what what was handed to you by the Pope and is what the pope says, for he hands it to us and says that we must believe it.

Complete and unadulterated NONSENSE.

Scripture stands on its own as the very God breathed word of God to us because it is TRUTH, NOT because some heathen appointed as pope gave his stamp of approval to the work of God as if God needed the pope's validation.

By making your claim, you are putting the pope and the church above God and sitting in judgment of both Him and His word.

Would you care to actually answer the question?

Are women who do not cover their heads real, true Catholics?

Yes, or no?

False Catholics are numerous today, and they are easily spotted as they do not cover their heads and do not attend a true Mass. True Masses are in Latin.

I'm sure all those *false* Catholics will be thrilled to hear your opinion of them.

So tell me, what makes YOU right and everyone else wrong?

They are. They are trying to get the church back to it;s roots, like Luther did.

Just wait until the church ex-communicates them as heretics, just like they did with Luther.

IOW, there is no room for thinking for yourself in Catholicism.

You are correct MM. How do you think the Catholic Church keeps people under their power? By keeping them ignorant. Telling them they can't interpret the Bible for themselves, might be the biggest factor in keeping them ignorant. Oh yes, I forgot. They tell women to be silent on an open, Internet forum. No true Christian, with more than two functioning brain cells, would ever be so foolish, as to say that. 😎😆🤣

PPAP. 😆

" In the Hebrew there is no “the” in “enmity between you and the woman” and it can refer to or include women in general and all women, (Gn. 14:16; Ex. 25:22; Est. 1:17) with the Lord speaking to Eve but including all women."

Was this your own opinion/interjection in the middle of another reference and you made a mistake in transcribing the thought ? It is unclear what you intended by posting this, since the Hebrew does have the definite article in that phrase.

“...So tell me, what makes YOU right and everyone else wrong?”

Jesus asked if when He returns if He will find ANY faith on the earth. Are you sure that there is ANYONE who has the faith today?

(I am just about done casting my pearls to metmom. Perhaps I should stop while I am still in one piece.)

You spittled off into lala land, "Was this your own opinion/interjection in the middle of another reference ...".

Your reading comprehension and attention seem askew. Try going back and reading the post from which you pulled the sentence you're trying to use in twisted fashion. You will actually see to what source the sentence is appointed. But that was a good try to twist the words of the freeper. You just failed because some folks are actually paying closer attention in order to extend their knowledge base since their minds are not infected with your ism.
