Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When I was a little girl, my Dad to me to a very special theater in Boston called "CINERAMA". It was the forerunner of IMAX, and featured three overlapping screens that encircled the entire front part of the theater. Dad showed me (by drawing diagrams) how the theater used three special projectors whose beams crossed each other onto the screens, producing a 3D, wraparound effect. If you looked hard enough, you could see the seams, but we were so awestruck by the effect that we didn't care. The movie was "Lawrence of Arabia" and the cinematography, music, and special effects made me and nearly everybody line up at the water fountain during intermission! I had never seen a desert before, and it was AWESOME.

Twenty years later, I was in the actual Judean Desert, gazing out the window of an air-conditioned tour bus, and thinking of the Great Ones who had spent time there. Nearly all of the great Prophets of the Bible went to this rugged, thirsty place. Sometimes they were fleeing persecution, and sometimes they were seeking solitude. All of them heard from God. A desert doesn't have to be sand and rocks. It can be a time of troubles, frustrations, and loneliness. God is faithful, though, to those who seek Him. May you always find The Fountain of Living Water when you find yourself in a "desert"!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanukkah!
God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
