It’s fun to banter these things about, but we don’t have the mind of God. We can’t know all that He knows. We can’t understand all that He knows. We are ill equipped (by design) to understand all the mysteries of God in this life.
“I believe Jesus was in the furnace with the three boys. I believe it was Jesus that dislocated Jacob’s hip. I believe that the only incarnation of God in human flesh is Jesus.”
Fine. That changes nothing that I said, however. ONCE Jesus became flesh He had a human soul. When He died His soul still lived, and He was still Jesus in His soul.

If man were created in God’s image.

We are in Jesus and Jesus is in God and God is in us and Jesus....

If Jesus is in us and therefor we can do the things that He does and more....

What are we seeds of? and why are we being harvested?
Just curious....
Tbere are greater and lesser sins. There are greater and lesser distances from perfection. It was not the ideal for David to have multiple wives, but that was never brought up as one of God’s concerns with him.
I agree. :-)
I find I’m constantly battling becoming too “legalist” and then too “anything goes thanks to grace”. It doesn’t have the wild swings it used to have, but it is a constant struggle.
I understand. We don’t want to pretend there isn’t forgiveness, and all the same time we don’t want to take advantage of grace. But, as the song says, I want His “grace greater than all my sin.”
Otherwise, I’m doomed.
