What makes this dude so much smarter than you?
For one he is smarter than I am in the area that he speaks and I do not. He is talking about what is going on in Syria , where people are asking the soldiers to kill their children so they don’t get raped and tortured .
I don’t about you but I have children and I can not imagine having to ask someone to shoot them so they don’t get butchered. What is going there is horrible.

True. And some settlers during the westward expansion when faced with capture killed their families and fought to the death. There are stories of people during the Second World War who also chose such actions
