I totally get your sense of sarcasm. :)
It’s a particularly goofy notion. It’s on the other end of the “world will end in December 2012” claim on the “Goofy Spectrum”. The world (and the heavens) already ended and were replaced with a new earth and heavens - it’s just that NOBODY NOTICED!
I don’t care if somebody is determined to actually believe it, it’s just hilarious in it’s absurdity.
