Thank you for your information. I’ve been treated for hypothyroidism for 25 years. Recently, a new (to me) internist spotted swelling on the right side of my neck and referred me to an ENT, who ordered an ultrasound, then a biopsy. He couldn’t see the swelling, nor could I. I had inexplicably LOST forty pounds over two years. Diagnosis was benign nodules; treatment is wait and see, and get checked every six months. I’m on 75 MCG of Levothroxine. I’ll be having this reviewed. Thanks again!

Diane update: Doctor now says tomorrow will just be a meeting to plan the operation. Diane is her usual upbeat self but we are very nervous and just want this to be a success and be over. I will be traveling Tuesday to Thursday and might not be able to update until then. Thank you all for your concern and prayers.

Follow up on Diane’s situation: She saw her doctor and was told they more tests and the operation can’t happen until Jan 4 Please keep her in your prayers as I will.
