I was not aware that the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a Baptist, was eligible for canonization by the Roman Catholic Church.
Am I right or wrong?
To the best of my knowledge it would be highly unlikely/unusual for a non-Catholic to be recognized as a saint by the RCC, but not impossible.
I could be wrong.
If the Pope had his way it would be on the agenda, but there may be a fork in his tenure before long.
