Donald Trump has a massive Catholic problem [Catholic Caucus]
The Washington Post ^ | AUGUST 30, 2106 | By Aaron Blake

Posted on 11/09/2016 6:24:20 PM PST by Jeff Chandler

Much has been made of Donald Trump’s problems with a few voting groups — female voters, blacks and Hispanics, and young voters, in particular. And, to be sure, they are all problems.

But relatively speaking, his biggest problem actually appears to be with a different group: Catholics.

Yes, the man who once feuded with the pope (how soon we forget that actually happened) is cratering among Catholics.

Agree. That’s what happens when you get a Jesuit pope. It seems he has toned it down some lately. Maybe someone is teaching him Catholic doctrine. LOL

Trump won Catholics 52-45. This is an article from before the election. I’m just having a moment of schadenfreude.

The only one that should have a Catholic problem is the Pope.

What states exit polled for Catholics? What were the individual results by state? Seems like fairly easy info to get, but I can’t find it.

I attend Catholic services but come from the Protestant tradition. This election was the first where I saw a quietly determined effort to point out that being true to the precepts of your faith required your serious reflection prior to voting — Hint, hint, hint.

He didn’t report actual voting statistics, just polls, which everyone knows were wrong.

I am Catholic, I know many Catholics who love Trump and I know many so-called Catholics who are not Catholics who loathe Trump...you know the “reasonable” Catholics who “would never have or support an abortion” but who believe the church is called to “be good stewards of the environment” by supporting calls to redistribute wealth to nations who despise America and to be charitable to the poor by providing “healthcare to the poor” that just so happens to not really provide any real healthcare, but abortions...and the same legislators who force Catholics, indeed all American taxpayers, to fund the killing of the children also steals the American taxpayer’s monies directly from the U.S. Treasury (never voted on) to fund the importation of welfare recipients who are 80% illiterate and cannot work and whose anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Semitic intent it is solely to kill us. Yes, Trump has a problem with those “reasonable” Catholics.

Sounds like the left is stirring up trouble — yet AGAIN.

See my tagline.

Certain denominations — even cults — may not be Trump’s cup of tea, or he theirs, but he’s determined to keep intact the freedom of religion. He wants to get rid of the Johnson Amendment. The Catholics (Mormons, Baptists, Episcopalians, etc.) who don’t like Trump are free to not like him — but he likes them and he’d going to protect their rights.

The Catholics that have heartburn over Trump, and wouldn’t have over Hillary are CINOs.....they wouldn’t know Jesus if He bled all over their couch.
