London, October 19, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in his talk with Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury said he was concerned that the Anglican Church deviates from norms of the Christian teaching.
"The patriarch paid attention of the Archbishop of Canterbury that the Russian Orthodox Church is seriously concerned with liberalization of the teaching of the Anglican Church in questions of church rules - consecration of women to priests and bishops, and in morals and family issues," head of the patriarchal press service Priest Alexander Volkov told the journalists on Tuesday evening in London before the patriarch's departure to Moscow.
According to him, the patriarch expressed hope that the Church of England "will oppose the challenges of the modern world and try to preserve the Gospels teaching."
Patriarch Kirill's came to London on October 15-18 to celebrate 300 years of the presence of Russian Orthodoxy in the British Isles.
Welby’s been a disappointment. At least he’s not a druid like the last dumbass I mean Archcuckold of Canterbury, Rowan Williams. (Cradle Episcopalian, BTW, so save the flames).
