Contemtable attack on Mary
americaneedsfatima.org ^ | October 18, 2016 | America needs Fatima

The totally reconstructed, brand-new Estonian National Museum opened on September 28 with a blasphemous attack on Mary, the Mother of God.

Here’s what’s happening, according to several news outlets:

“Visitors at Estonian National Museum [are] offered to kick Virgin Mary’s image” - - and it’s definitely true. I’ve verified it.

“The National Museum which opened in Estonia in the presence of President Toomas Hendrik Ilves last week, is offering its visitors to kick one of the exhibits, an interactive image of Virgin Mary, causing the picture to fall into pieces.” [my emphasis]

The display is “a depiction of Virgin Mary on a big light screen almost the size of a human being. It is static until someone kicks a specially marked spot at the bottom of the picture, causing the virtual figure fly into pieces and the word "Reformation" appear on the screen.”

Then the image “resets” to Our Lady of Graces again, and the whole thing starts anew.

Join us. Tell The National Museum: STOP This CONTEMPTIBLE Attack On Mary.

TAKE DOWN THE EXHIBIT… NOW! >>>>>>>>>>

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Oh My Jesus forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls into Heaven especially those in most need of the mercy. Amen.

The misspelling of "contemptible" should probably be corrected.

con·tempt·i·ble

[kənˈtem℗təb(ə)l]

ADJECTIVE

deserving contempt; despicable:

"a display of contemptible cowardice" synonyms: despicable · detestable · hateful · reprehensible · [more]

Mary WAS NOT the Mother of God! If that were true, Mary would be included in the Trinity! And she’s not! Mary is simply human!

Mary is simply human. Jesus is not "simply human". Jesus is a single divine person, having a human nature (which he received from Mary, his mother) and a divine nature (which he has eternally), which were united in one hypostasis at the Incarnation. He is God. Mary is his mother. Mary is therefore the Mother of God.

BTW, certain Orthodox liturgies refer to Mary's parents as "Joachim and Anna, the holy and righteous ancestors of God".

Old school:

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Yes, thank you. That is how I pray it. I always have a hard time reproducing what I actually pray when I post it. I should stick with copying and pasting.

You say: “Mary is therefore the Mother of God.”

According to scripture, Jesus had 4 brothers, and Mary had at least 7 children.
Do you also call Jesus’s brothers - “Brothers of God” ???

Sorry, Mary is Not “Mother of God”!
This title is not given in Scripture!

I think I kinda sorta get what you;re saying, here, but nobody is mother of a "nature."

"Hey, girls, I'm pregnant!"

(Friend, considering knitting pink or blue booties)"Did you get a sonogram? What is it, a ..."

"It's a nature! I'm pregnant with a nature!"

Uh... no, That's not how it works. A mother gives birth ti a person. Jesus Christ is God, a divine Person. She gave birth to Jesus, thus she gave birth to God. Carried the incarnate God--- He who in fact is One with the Trinity and existed for all eternity --- in her womb and then gave birth.

The Person she gave birth to, was the incarnate God. Who was existent before His conception in her womb, of course.

See what I'm saying?

I can happily note that this has nothing to do with a sacrilegious art exhibit in Estonia.

Absolutely true, the Triune God is not descended from anybody.

Nobody's going to argue with you about that!

However Jesus is both Lord and God, and He was born of the virgin Mary. This was not the beginning of His existence, being eternal! But he was in her -- in her "viscera", as it says in Latin:

"Virgo Dei Genitrix, quem totus non capit orbis, in tua se clausit viscera factus homo."

"Virgin Mother of God, He whom the whole Universe cannot contain, enclosed Himself in your womb and was made man."

Jesus certainly did descend from humans. His genealogy is found in the Gospels, Matthew and Luke. He is the seed of the Woman (Eve) as it says in Genesis, son of Adam, son of Noah, son of Abraham, son of Judah, son of Jesse, son of David. Son of Mary.

Son of Man.

And Son of God. One in Being with the Father, Who, together with the Holy Spirit, exists from eternity unto eternity.

Read Canons 915 and 916. They are not eligible to receive Holy Communion. Nancy Pelosi was told that by her own Bishop./

What this has to do with the entertainment value of blowing up an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, I do not know.

The Gospels of Matthew and Luke both list the ancestors of Jesus. Who is God, and pre-existed them all.

Yes, Jesus is our Brother and Savior (Hebrews 2:11-15)

But Jesus had 4 blood brothers as well since Mary was the actual mother of 5 boys.

It doesn't say that in the Bible. The words used in the text do not distinguish between blood brothers, half-brothers, half-step-brothers, cousins and other close male kin.

They would not have been Mary's children, since Jesus was concerned to put her into the care of His beloved disciple John after His death, unnecessary and unthinkable if she had grown children to look after her.

No one thought such a carnal-minded thing --- Mary bearing more children --- until 1500 years after Mary's passing from this life.

The early Christians would have died to defend Mary's perpetual virginity. You can see it written on the catacomb walls of the underground cemeteries under the city of Rome. Thus attested the martyrs: "Beatae Mariae Semper Virgine."

"Yes, Jesus is our Brother and Savior (Hebrews 2:11-15)"

Jesus has many millions of brothers; and as you know, of course, this does not mean we were all born from Mary's womb. Nobody was born from Mary's womb but Jesus.

Interestingly, though, it is true in a spiritual sense: we are all children of Mary.

Revelation 12:17

"The serpent became angry with the woman. So it went away to fight with her other children, the ones who keep God’s commands and hold on to the testimony of Jesus."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only thing it has to do with it is my sympathy or lack thereof.
Outrage at desecration of a religious image from the same people who elect heretics is hypocritical, in my opinion. You are obviously not included in the list of hypocrites, but the ones who keep voting for the baby murderers are. Since they are in the majority, I find myself lacking sympathy for the situation until they decide to do something about heretics.
