So sorry to hear. We went through this a few years ago.

What we did at that time was also look hard at "surpluses" -- so cutting out completely any eating out or takeaways or ready made food. Cutting out these + sodas, juices, alcohol, a lot of processed foods and replacing with water, teas, coffees, fruits, vegetables, home-cooked meals not only saved us a lot of $$ but also got us healthier.
Also out the window went holidays out of town -- better to relax at home and also more travel by foot, public transport, bicycles
Oh and prayers, lots of it.

Please know that if the answer is “go” that it is God’s will and that there is a much better place for you and God has been preparing the way as you seek Him.
In the meantime, I’m praying for the boss, the owners, and I am praying for you and your family. May love and forgiveness rule the situation. My pastor once said something to the effect that, “Where there is the most strife, the most love is needed.”
The root of anger and abuse is generally fear. Take that in with you too. What is this person afraid of? What are his problems that he would treat you in this way? Make sure you have forgiven the boss before seeing the owners.
If the answer is stay, then you will also need a path forward in dealing with the boss, so I am praying for that too.
God is with you.
Lord Jesus Christ, protect Thy servants from ruin and answer their prayers in the hour of their need.

Silence every voice raised up to accuse them. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord. Their vindication will come from You.

I have been through that very thing so many times!
Praying that God’s Will will bring you and your family to a new beginning of peace, prosperity, and contentment in your work.
Just last night, something happened in my own family that I would like to share with you. My nephew, an incredible guitarist, worked his way up in a prominent chain restaurant from bus boy, to waiter, to line cook, and was promoted and trained to be the sous chef several months ago. From the moment he was “promoted”, he had ALL the work and responsibilities of the sous chef(supervising all the cooks, ordering food, managing the kitchen, developing menus, etc, WITHOUT the corresponding title or increase in salary. He kept asking his stupid boss when this was going to take place and was put off. In the meantime anything that went wrong was blamed entirely on him, so he had all the stress and none of the benefits. I have been praying for him.
Here’s the punch line:
Last night, my nephew announced that he has been offered the position of sous chef at our city’s largest and most famous Rock Venue, with benefits, a $15,000 increase in salary, free tickets to all the awesome concerts and a chance to perhaps become a rock star himself.
So, I WILL pray for you!
