Thanks for the verse, you know, I was thinking as I was reading the verse, that God's preserved word is so beyond awesome, why not just go ahead and put up both a and b. You know kinda go for broke!

2 Chronicles 30:9

Thank you for posting that wonderful passage, I believe that this passage is really worth giving a testimony on. So, if you don't mind I'll go verse by verse, over a period of time, as to how these verses have helped me in my walk with the Lord.

Isaiah 12:1
And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

Amen!

Before I received God's sacrificial, substituting death on the cross for my sins He was angry with me, but now that I trust Jesus Christ as Savior and accept the fact, that the work that He did for me, I could never do for myself, He brought me out from under the curse and into God's eternal blessing. His anger is turned away, and He comforts me. I can go directly to Jesus anytime, on any day, and He will give me His peace and joy.

God's preserved word says, that He is angry with the wicked every day.

Psalms 7:11
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

When I was lost a lost sinner, God was angry with me every day, and why shouldn't He be? He provided me a way of escape from that wicked lifestyle, and I refused to go His way. I said to myself, "Oh, I'm different, I will get away with what I'm doing, God could careless, and even if He does care, what can He do about it?" I found out the hard way, just how much He cared, and how much He could actually do about it.

But once I received His free gift of Biblical Salvation, He brought me from where I was, lost in sin, to a whole other place. He brought me from being cursed, to being blessed.

And isn't that the way it is with the Salvation God provides? Biblical Salvation brought Israel out from hard bondage, into the promised land, Biblical Salvation brought Jonah out of the belly of the whale, Biblical Salvation brought brought Daniel out of the lion's den, it brought Meshach, Shadrach and Abendago out of the fiery furnace. It brought Paul out of a lost condition. Biblical Salvation brought this lost sinner out of darkness, and into His marvelous light. Praise the Lord!

Exodus 14:13
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Again thanks for the post, and I hope to give more testimony about the rest of the passage at some other time.

Thank you for your post, it's a great reminder to me, of how often I allow the things of this world to affect my walk with Jesus.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

These days millions of people are willfully conforming themselves to the world. And looking at the world, looking to the left or to the right, looking straight ahead or behind, these are perilous days that can't really be compared to anything else in world history.

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy:

2 Timothy 3:1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

All the wickedness that is happening, the evil in the news, is happening on a global scale. It's not something taking place over in just one part of the planet, the evil is happening in every area of the globe.

2 Timothy 3:2
For men shall be lovers
of their own selves,

People in love with their own selves, can be seen with the explosion of "social media", why do people think that every other person, wants to know everything there is to know about them?

The love of self is the main cause of spiritual decline, and ever increasing wickedness going on in these days.

2 Timothy 3:1-4
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God

I fail every day at not doing the things listed in the above passage, but praise the Lord,

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This verse has spoken to me on more than one occasion. Waiting on God is not easy for me, in fact some times, it's quite frustrating to wait upon God for direction in life, and His guidance on a day by day basis.

However, before I became a Christian I thought I'd never be weak, and I'd never wait upon God for anything. My "modus operandi" was to force my will upon people and situations, in order to influence the behavior of individuals, and to direct the course of my life . In doing so, I caused a great deal of damage, pain and heartache to myself and to others. After many years of this "self-will run riot", and cracking my skull up against that brick wall, I finally surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, and His preserved word.

Today I believe that waiting upon the LORD, and the renewing of my strength, walk together as one, just as the Old and New Testament in God's preserved word walk together as one.

Amos 3:3
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Today, there could be a whole lot less anxiety, dismay and distress in life, by waiting upon the LORD, and having strength renewed. As a lost sinner I didn't do that, it was only when the Holy Ghost came to live in me, and convicted me of sin, that I fully turned my will over to God. And from that point, God enabled me to learn 'longsuffering' as He mounted me up with wings as eagles, to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint.

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Before I became a born-again Christian, my eyes were always on self, never once did I consider looking outside myself for any help. Deep down I just didn't want to face the truthfulness of how rotten I was/am. When God made me a new man in Christ, He put in me, the indwelling of His Holy Spirit, and now I have no problem dealing with the fact that my flesh is and continues to be rotten and corrupt.

Philippians 2:12
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Praise the Lord, even though my flesh is rotten to the core, Jesus gives me all the help I need to humble myself and to fear and tremble before Holy God. Praise Jesus, it is from Him only, 'whence cometh my help'. Praise Jesus, He makes me a 'lively stone'.

1 Peter 2:5
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I don't believe there are any dead Christians.

I don't believe there is such a thing as spiritual dead Christian. If your spirit is dead, then you're not a Christian. Only the counterfeit religions make people dead inside, not the Christianity that the preserved word of God offers to people. Because Biblical Christianity makes people 'lively stones', not dead ones. And as 'lively stones, whatever 'spiritual sacrifices' we offer up to God, be it a sacrifice of praise, a sacrifice of giving, a sacrifice of missions work, whatever it may be. The only way our sacrifice is going to be acceptable to God, is through the mediator, through the advocate, through the propitiation of our sins, the Lord Jesus Christ, who 'made heaven and earth'

Mark 16:15-16 15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

One of the things that has been on my heart recently is that as God's people, it's our duty, it's our responsibility, it's our ministry to manifest truth. First the truth of the Gospel in God's preserved word, 'Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature'.

The message of the Church ought to be one of God's grace & mercy on sinners, that believing in Jesus Christ's substituting, sacrificial death on the cross for your sins, and having your sins blotted out by His precious blood, is the only way to heaven. The message of the Church should not be that God tolerates your sinful lifestyle. Those two messages are not the same, God does not tolerate sin, but He will forgive your sin and have grace and mercy on the sinner. The foremost message of the Church today, I'm not talking about the single message of the Church, but the foremost message should be, "Christ died for sinners, of which we are also"

2 Corinthians 4: 3
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

Think about that, we were called to preach the gospel. Preach the gospel and God will straighten out everybody's life. Preach the Gospel and God will save your loved ones, preach the gospel and God will clean up people's lives. We're called to preach the Gospel. Preach the Gospel and that's what will clean up our country, and get our country back to following the narrow path, which lead to eternal life, and off the broad road which leads to destruction. It is God's job to bring souls to salvation, He said, "if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost."

Our duty, our responsibility is to NOT hide the Gospel

Thanks and you are correct. We are responsible for sharing the Gospel. I try my best and use my personal business. As owner I can witness daily with boldness and even have a display case in my showroom with literature and Gideon Bibles. I also serve in my local church. Time is short so we have to be found faithful.

Psalm 37:3-5
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

You can always tell the difference between someone who trusts and serves the LORD, and someone who does not trust or serve the LORD, most times it stands out like a mustard stain on a brand new tie.

Now, people can deceive, and there are plenty of religious hypocrites, however the genuine conversion of a saint of God will cause him or her to live different than a sinner. If someone claims, "I'm a new man in Christ Jesus," and then there is nothing different about how they live, that is contradictory. We ought to be able to discern between a person who trusts and serves God, and one who trusts and serves Him not.

If one of God's saints goes to a sporting event, they should not be the one cussing at players, or sucking up the Bud light. There is a difference between God's saints, and unrepentant sinners.

1 Corinthians 6:9
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Notice, Paul did not say in verse 11, "and such ARE some of you" The life of one of God's saints should not be characterized by or be filled with sin. Instead a saint of God should, "Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him;"

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I remember when my Dad was dying of emphysema, and stage 4 lung cancer, in the end, his body was nothing more than a skeleton laying on the bed. It was so horrible, for my family and I to see him in that condition.

Many people have asked, "If God is good, why is there evil and suffering?" Suffering is something we all must face at some point in our life. When suffering finally hits us, we will either run to God or run away from Him. What direction someone decides to go, depends on how willing they are to trust God, and if they believe His preserved word.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Now, that's powerful! Almighty God who owns the entire universe, He's the Sovereign of all creation and He cares for you. If we're going through some hard times, if we're in the midst of physical suffering, or even if we're just having a downer week, this verse should run through our head, solid. God cares for me. And how do we know for sure that God cares for us? He gave His very best to die for us, that's how we know God cares for us.

Psalms 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

It says here, "shall sustain thee," not that God might, or would, or could, but that He shall. Burdens in life can be hard to handle, and the only way we can overcome the burdens in life, is to cast them upon the Lord. And when we cast all of life's burdens upon the Lord, guess who they are no longer on? As we learn to do this, we'll realize soon enough:

"that all things work together for good to them that love God"

I understand where you're coming from. One verse from my meditations today was:

Heb 5:8  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 

Evil is a result of our own doing. The reason we suffer is so that we can learn obedience to carry out God's will. These are difficult things to comprehend but true nonetheless. We just need to focus on God's perfect plan for our lives.

Joshua 24:14-15
14 ¶ Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

In this wonderful Bible passage, we find two important words linked together, "sincerity and truth" there's one other Bible passage, in God's preserved word where these two words are linked:

1 Corinthians 5:8
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Keeping the feast God's way, is serving God in His righteousness, and in His holiness. Leaven is anything that changes that which is whole. It corrupts, it depraves whatever it is mixed with. In the above verse, Paul writes to the Corinthian believers, of two different leavens, the "old leaven," and "the leaven of malice and wickedness." The old leaven is that leaven, wherein people attempt to worship the Lord with a divided heart. A "whorish heart" seeks not to glorify God, but its own egocentric desires, a prostitute does what she does for self-centered reasons, a whore does it for the profit.

Ezekiel 6:9
And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

Today, those with the "whorish heart" are people who seek after God any other way, other than Biblical Christianity. People whore themselves out to false religions for a variety of selfish reasons. Maybe it's because of what friends or family might think of them if they walked away from it, they may remain in the false religion, because of fear of retaliation from the 'spiritual leader.' or they may simply be making monetary profit selling books, CD's or online courses.

Whatever the reason may be, trying to serve God any other way other than Bible Christianity is serving God a false way, and God wants His people to hate every false way.

Psalms 119:104
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Psalms 119:128
Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

The other leaven, " the leaven of malice and wickedness" are the false prophets and false teachers, who have come into the Church 'unawares' and intentionally lead people to hell with their heresies.

2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Whatever leaven has crept into the house of God, all Bible believing Christians must (with God's help and with His preserved word) expose, shun and purge it out of their midst. In that way, their fellowship can remain serving the Lord in 'sincerity and in truth.'

Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Praise God for Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus is our only hope of rescue, He is our only hope of Salvation. And just as Noah, a preacher of righteousness, was rescued from God's judgment by being in the Ark, so will all who are ''in Christ Jesus our Lord'' be spared from the flood of evil that's coming. If you were not in the Ark during the flood, you were not going to be alive, it's that simple. The Ark is an absolute picture of Salvation, and if you're not in the Ark, if you're not "in Christ Jesus our Lord," you do not have eternal life today.

I'm convinced there was enough room in Noah's Ark for more than just the eight souls of Noah's family, but the people of that day would not have it. The people in the days of Noah were a wicked, ungodly bunch, and they did not want to listen to Noah a, "preacher of righteousness" (2 Peter 2:5).

Genesis 6:12
2 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

God has eyes and He sees everything, the book of Psalms puts it this way:

Psalms 66:7
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

God looked, "and, behold, it was corrupt;" and God does not put up with corruption for very long, He just doesn't tolerate it, God hates corrupt things.

Genesis 6:16
A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

God commanded Noah to put the window above, so that when Noah saw the light, he would remember that light comes from above, God's light doesn't come from within or from the side, or from below, it comes from above. Also, notice that there was only one door into the Ark, that is also a picture of Salvation, there were not many doors to enter the Ark, there was one way, one door.

Today, there is only one door into the Salvation of God. There is not many different ways, there's not many different roads leading to the same God. There is only one door, and there is only one way. "in Christ Jesus our Lord"

Thank you for your reply, that's a wonderful chapter, perhaps today, would be a good day to post the entire thing. No matter what direction the Country decides to go, God's truth is eternal, and can be trusted. God's word will always be a light shining in the darkness.

1 Corinthians 15

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?
31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
