Okay clearly I did not articulate my inquiry in a manner in which it was swirling in my head. I am not talking about America in prophecy, the beast , any of that. I guess I see the world careening quickly to the beginning of the end and I can envision how a Clinton presidency could easily play into that narrative. A Trump presidency makes me scratch my head as it would seem God would be slowing things down. But maybe not???? Listen I will be at peace no matter what happens. I was just wondering what people had going through their mind. ?Not looking for “answers” (Jesus IS my answer) or prognostications. Just curious. Thats it

In answer to your question, God is not going to speed things up or slow things down no matter who wins the US presidency in November. His timetable is already established.
There is great comfort in that if Jesus is your answer, since we know He is in complete control. But there is also anxiety, because His plan might not be our plan, and He never promised we would be free of trials and tribulation. To the contrary....
So, we do what we can in our capacity, and leave the rest to Him.
For me, the frustrating thing with God is, He doesn’t give a lot of answers. He is really big on faith and on our developing an unwavering trust in His provision regardless of circumstances. And, with the way things are going in this country in recent years, He’s obviously really trying to grow our faith and trust in Him.
The result is the same.
There will be no slowing down.
We are headed for judgement.

Sure, a Hillary presidency would fit the narrative of: "America being judged like the ancient Israeli's have been in the past" (each King was worse than the one before....).
Trump would seem a reprieve from judgment - but we surely don't deserve a reprieve - not with the continued moral collapse (killing babies for profit, celebrating porn and homosexuality, etc).
I'm confused too - but know this: if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are sealed and belong to the Most High God. For eternity. And no weapon formed against us....
