Eight people died when a group of militant Muslims burned down the home of a man who had intervened to stop the lynching of a Christian convert.
The violence began when a young man-- a Muslim student who had converted to Christianity-- was accused of insulting Islam and severely beaten by his classmates. A passerby saved the student, bringing him to a nearby hospital. The militants then attacked that man, burning down his home and killing the eight people inside it.

The second was a good Samaritan.
