One thing to keep in mind is that the biblical scale is a lot longer than what we tend to think of as a long time. We think in terms of our own lifetime and find it difficult to comprehend events that take longer than the typical human life span.

The “latter days” have been referred to as everything happening since the first coming of Jesus.

I think of the second-grade teacher who had us draw a horse every morning and then the last week had us draw chariots. She was trying to give us some perspective on the history of the human race. Automobiles would have been the last three seconds before the school day was over, but she didn’t have to say that.

Of course things are speeding up now, also in accordance with prophecy (the old analogy of birth pains getting more frequent and more severe).

Today at service I felt for the first time that people were witnessing that their conversions came about with the Rapture in mind. Whether it is true or not shouldn’t really matter to us as much as the actual turning to Christ, no matter when it happens. It is bringing people to Christ in an emergency fashion, and that is a good thing.
