FULL TITLE: Evangelical mom fights Texas school district when told her transgender kindergartener will be barred from using the girls' bathroom
A devout Christian mother in Texas is fighting for her transgender daughter's right to use the girls' bathroom when she starts kindergarten.
Kai Shappley, 5, was born male, but has lived as a little girl for the last two years publicly.
Kim Shappley told KHOU that she named her child Joseph Paul at birth, but changed the name after her child made it clear as to what gender she identified with early on.
'By age 3, she was verbalizing, 'I'm a girl, you know I'm a girl,' she said.

This is a form of child abuse known as "Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy."
The only way a kindergarten child thinks it is "transgender" is if mommy is encouraging the child to behave that way.

Exactly what I said. The authorities need to drop a hammer on this sort of abuse.
Note that the article described the mother as a devout Christian, not a knowledgeable or biblical Christian. I remember a phrase from the apostle Paul, “I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.” (Romans 10:2,3)

The mother should be arrested for child abuse.
That word, Evangelical. I do not think it means what you think it means.
My girlfriend’s granddaughter said she was a boy for about eight years — a couple decades before it became “fashionable”. She wore boy clothes. Did boy things. Then she turned into a girly-girl, and is a gorgeous college student. Kids just go through phases, I guess. When a mother takes a three-year-old seriously, the mother is the one with the issues.
We live in a sick society. This woman has been watching too many fantasy shows with movie stars who think this is great.
Born a boy and always will be a boy and vice versa.
Oh, what bulls***! That mother is not just a Christian in name only-she is mentally unstable-it sounds like she has Munchausen by proxy, and she certainly is guilty of child abuse-the kid should be sent to a sane relative while mom is sent for extensive psychotherapy...
DNA is DNA-if the kid was born a boy, it is a boy now-I don’t care if he verbalized that he was a catfish-he should have been corrected, and encouraged to behave like a male child-a 3 year old does not have the capacity to make decisions of any import...
I agree .. no 3 year old child can make such a decision .. unless the child was watching programs he shouldn’t have been watching.
This is just ridiculous. Send the child to a child psychiatrist and let them help the child to understand being a boy is just fine.

An “evangelical” mom would not allow “self identity.” She would make the child be what HE was born with. Also, IF the child was really transgender or had such an issue most moms would home school.
