**There you go: that’s the key distinction between “Sacred” Tradition and the illegitimate kind. “Sacred” tradition does not involve breaking the commandments of God.***
Except for eating blood, calling no man father, forbidding priests to marry, etc.
Gamecock, I like you, man, but you've disappointed me. We've been over all that and you know your charge isn't true.
As tersely as I can:
- If the Eucharistic drinking of Jesus' blood were forbidden, He wouldn't have said, over and OVER again, "drink My blood.". Do click the link.
- Calling "no man" father: #175
- Forbidding priests to marry: nobody is forbidden to marry except those who have taken a vow not to marry: i.e., voluntary vowed celibates. Thousands, over history tens of thousands of men who have not not taken vows of celibacy, have married and then received Holy Orders, which is to say, become ordained Catholic priests as well as deacons. Sheesh.
Thank you for giving me the sweet, bonny, blessit opportunity to say all this for the thousandth time.
