A Catholic nun is praising NARAL president Ilyse Hogue, who spoke to the Democratic national convention and bragged about the abortion she had. Hogue claims the abortion was the best decision for her ignoring whether it was int he best interests of her unborn child to take his or her life. Hogue eventually called the decision a compassionate one.
She said:
To succeed in life, all we need are the tools, the trust, and the chance to chart our own path. I was fortunate enough to have these things when I found out I was pregnant years ago. I wanted a family, but it was the wrong time. I made the decision that was best for me to have an abortion and was able to get compassionate care at a clinic in my own community. Now, years later, my husband and I are parents to two incredible children.
My story is not unique. About one in three American women have abortions by the age of 45, and the majority are mothers just trying to take care of the families they already have. You see, its not as simple as bad girls get abortions and good girls have families. We are the same women at different times in our lives each making decisions that are the best for us.
Now, Sister Simone Campbell has given an interview in which she praises Hogue.
I think what was touching and compelling was her speaking of her reality, Sister Simone Campbell told the Democracy Now! program, and saying that it is not, you know, the bad girls. Its all women that have this struggle.
I dont think its a good policy to outlaw abortion. Rather, lets focus on economic development for women, Campbell added, and made the false claim........

It actually is around 30% of women will have had at least one abortion in their lifetimes, and around half of those will have had more than one.
The abortion supporters used to claim 50%,
I believe the number has been dropping, but with the country increasingly minority, it’s likely to rise again.
“Get thee to a nunnery!”
Sister Catherine, Principal back in my Catholic elementary and high school days, would have booted this nun in the ass
Simone Campbell is evil an a disgrace to my Church.
Just so unbelievable!
I hope you mean lesbians, otherwise the situation is far worse than the most cynical of us thought!
