Taken on its own, this incident would be unsettling enough. With Fr. Hamels blood still fresh on the altar of his parish, however, and with Catholics now being compared by their own pope to the bestial fundamentalists of Islam, this rough treatment of our brethren in the faith at the hands of their own countrymen is a staggering blow.

Paris police won’t dare to drag an imam from his mosque. Wimps.

Need more back story. Was the priest interviewed? Did he make any statements as to why he wouldn’t leave once the building was sold? This could have been handled way, way better. Unless, of course, the government didn’t want it handled better.

The guy grabbing the altar boy looks like he may be a Muzzi.

Is this how the French do eminent domain? The story suggests the congregation could have bought the building back — how does that work?

Seems like really weird timing. I mean they couldn’t wait for the service to end, unless this was now back to back continual services?

Rather, the question should be what “Catholic(s)” sold the church in the first place.

There had to be a better way to handle this.
If the priest was breaking the law...and it appears he was, he's a bad example.

Cannot believe what I’m seeing.

Well of course, this is sacrilegious and impossible....

Seems like really weird timing. I mean they couldnt wait for the service to end, unless this was now back to back continual services? It was not a WED morning church service. They all knew what was happening. The congregation barricaded the doors. They all had cameras and were covering their faces. (I don't recall anyone other than Lefties and Muslims doing that.) This was a PR stunt by the pastor and congregants. They didn't like the legal outcome and wanted to make it a circus instead, bringing children in front of a SWAT team. Shame on them all... and they know they should be ashamed, since they are covering their faces. A proud Christian, doing the right thing, does not cover their face.

From what I’m reading it wasn’t church property, the pastor is a squatter, and the police evicted him.
No one shot, no one beaten.
Good job, officers!

And I would have expected that the place would have been gutted of its sacred items well in advance of the takeover for demolition.
There’s a point at which what happens is self-promotion rather than service to God.

Sounds kind of stuntly if so. I thought sacrilegious things weren’t supposed to be done with Masses. It’s surely not a way of saying “we mark this earthly spot just because we jolly well want to.”

You apparently didn't read the article:
Some of the faithful prepared handkerchiefs for covering their noses in the case that the police decided to put their canisters of tear gas to use.

But apparently they didn’t... they just went in and dragged out the squatters. In such a case, sounds like an excuse.

Are there any Imams squatting in a 3million property?
No.
What a useless and empty comparison that just invited you to assume the answer you please.

..if the priest was breaking the law...and it appears he was, he's a bad example ..LOL thanks for that, Mitt.
