Thank you! Concerning the first passage, it seems every translator uses the word "great" to describe the difference between the two paths.

. . . διαφορὰ δὲ πολλὴ μεταξὺ τῶν δύο ὁδῶν.

The Greek text intimates "multifarious," which I reckon in sum would be "great." For what it's worth. I was anticipating "mega" as opposed to "poly" as the base word.
