I don’t buy astrology even spiritualized astrology. The Bible provides no working index as to what the various star groupings are supposed to symbolize and at what times. I think the sign in heaven will be a very noticeable event but it’s meaning is cloaked right now.

An alternative thought:It does provide a symbolic history of the birth of Christ and the rise of the church and the attempts by the devil to destroy that church but she should be protected for 3.5 years as the Earth would swallow up the flood of destruction sent against her. The 3.5 years is interesting as it may point to the latter half of the tribulation period!(Rapture?). If there is something to the “star position’ astrological idea you mention...then prepare for a very rocky 3.5 years!

I think of the star of Bethlehem and it was no ordinary star...it wasn’t a star/planet cluster but something so unusual that it prompted certain magi to follow it “and it went before them and stood over the house”.

First of all, this is not astrology, this is about signs in the heavens.

Genesis 1:14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and †seasons, and for days and years; ...

Nelson, Thomas. Holy Bible, New King James Version (NKJV) . Thomas Nelson. Kindle Edition.

The first reason for the “lights in the firmament of the heavens” is for signs. The best explanation of this is found in E.W. Bullinger’s book, “The Witness of the Stars”

Building upon ancient astronomical sources and current scientific data, E.W. Bullinger displays how the constellations bear witness to the accuracy of biblical prophetic truths. Numerous celestial charts and diagrams are provided to lend vivid support to his conclusions. With the psalmist, one discovers that “the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth His handiwork,” thus encouraging Bible students to look upward for the coming of Christ.

Dr. Bullinger takes Psalm 19 and, using it as a base, expands the understanding of astronomy to include confirmation of God’s word. This book is of value to the advanced student of Christian evidences, and for the average Christian it will give greater appreciation for God’s handiwork in the heavens
