A Christian’s main focus while on this earth is to respond to Jesus’ command as put forth in The Great Commission. The ultimate act of compassion is to lead a soul to Christ, and eternal salvation. The preparation you call for to “ease the suffering” of those left behind is already being done by witnessing. Creating “Rapture Survival Kits” for the unsaved is not what we are called to do.

This is hard for me to understand. Why can’t you just do both and cover your bases? I mean if there were foundations and charities don’t you think folks would at the very least give it a second look?
