Catholic ping!
Lovely lady but I would have chosen dif words other than:
“she looks like a lover who has arrived to the encounter she has long been yearning for.”
Just sayen and will leave it at that!
"Free at last, free at last, Praise the Lord, I'm Free at last."
Death, where is thy sting?
Beautiful.
As a fully professed nun, especially a Carmelite, she was the mystical bride of Christ.
Actually, from Song of Solomon to Revelation, the Bible uses the analogy that the closest thing in human experience to what we will feel when we meet our Lord face to face is the ecstasy of a newly married couple. Although what we experience then will truly be eternal, not fleeting like human love.
My God! What a beautiful lady and she is rejoicing because she met her Heavenly Father. A lady with a beautiful smile that same smile that will stand in front of Jesus as he welcomes her in. Yes Lung Cancer is ugly to die of but when you believe in the Lord, at the end the cancer will be the of the Earthly past and your future with the Lord will be Eternal Life. What precious pictures. May God bless her for her suffering.
May her good Lord free her from every trace of sin and sorrow, and make her glorious in His Kingdom.
Shine on, Sister! Shine on, shine on!
Tears in my eyes. She departs this world to be with God in His heavenly kingdom. Thank you, dear Sister, for what you have done for my faith this day.
Our life does not end with the death of the body, it begins anew in glorious Heavenly abode.

In here Bishop Barron, who has taken a vow of chastity, talks about erotic passion and how C.S. Lewis in The Great Divorce, demonstrates it. Thought you might be interested. Bless you for posting this wonderful testimony! I have sent it around as email with the link and also posted it to FB.
Thank you for a ray of sunshine in a darkening world.
Now for something incredibly UPLIFTING to counter all the downers assaulting us on a daily basis!
