“A leading cardinal has said the Catholic Church should apologise to the gay community for its scandalous and terrible treatment of them, which had not changed until ‘very recently’.”

What the H-E-Double L is he talking about? The Catholic Church has hosted a whole cadre of “gay” clergy for centuries.

But Francis apparently thinks Jesus did not have the last Word. Francis says we must still be open to more surprises from the Holy Ghost.

Be open to the surprises of the Holy Spirit, Pope Francis advises

Pope: There is always resistance in the Church to surprises of the Spirit

If nothing happens to this Cardinal, then something is seriously askew in this church.

This cardinal, Marx, was personally chosen by Francis to be a member of his Gang o’ Nine. Hey was also active in both of Francis’s recent sex sinnods.

You most certainly can denounce Catholicism. It’s not the mob.

Francis and his "lavender" gang should apologize to Catholics, resign from office, and seek mental help (and exorcisms where necessary).

Guess you need to go back and read some of Paul’s epistles where he lists virtues and the sins they counter.

ok.

We are sorry that members of our Church opened hospices to care for AIDS patients back at the beginning of the crisis, when others were too afraid to help.

But mostly, and very sincerely: Sorry our Church is going sideways, and not preaching to you about the need for repentance and your call to live in holiness, because the horrible consequence of that is that you might live and die without the Truth of Jesus Christ. And really, very sorry that we are not even failing to do that out of some malice toward you, but out of a misguided desire to be liked by you and to be seen as “cool”.

I truly am very sorry, on many levels. But never for sins I did not commit.

1. This statement by Marx ignores the tenets of the Catholic Church
2. The Church has nothing to apologize for, here
3. The Catholic Church welcomes gays as well as it does any sinner who repents, sincerely intends to repent and struggles with temptation. Like any other living human being. Just as Christ teaches
4. These spokespeople have an agenda of their own

===============================================

1. "tenets"? I doubt if Marx knows what a "tenet" is.

2. True. It's just following the ten commandments (not the ten suggestions) and getting folks to LOVE God and love each other. Sounds pretty simple to me.

3. I was taught to HATE the sin and LOVE the sinner. People can have all kinds of feelings but no one has to ACT on the bad feelings. When I'm driving I sometimes HOPE that the jerk who is trying to kill her/himself and me gets a ticket.

4. Oh yes. Many people HATE the Catholic Church because of
*the divorce-NO REMARRY law that they insist on enforcing.
**They also hate the Catholic Church because sex is for ONLY between ONE man and ONE woman, married to each other.
***So, adultery, fornication, masturbation, threesomes, etc., are all forbidden. Hollyweird just can't have an FUN if the Catholic Church had its way.

==========================

True story about "Where's a cop when ya need him?" It's just a little story about how God sometimes gives me a GOOD laugh. He knows when I need one.
I was driving to Mass one morning and a black and white (cop car) was behind me. So I was certainly minding my P's and Q's.
Well, I got to a four-way stop and the guy on my right, as Asian, saw me, gave me a HUGE grin and a wink and ran the stop sign, turning left in front of me, right past the cop car. HAHAHA!

I have NEVER seen a cop car, or any car, do such a FAST and SHART u-turn/ueey. He pulled over that guy like in two seconds.

I WAS going to stop and watch the guy get his ticket but I didn't. I had ALREADY had my reward. I pass that corner five days a week and give a BIG smile at that memory!
A cop was THERE when he was needed!!

.

Thank you, Lord, for that little moment of laughter.

I have to disagree with that...I was baptized Lutheran and when I married a catholic, they wouldn’t let us marry at the center altar unless I became catholic and they baptized me, just in case my Lutheran baptism was not done according to the church...(priest told me this) I was Lutheran long before I was catholic, being baptized at 12 because I ask to be...once a catholic always a catholic is not even biblical...

I saw this term “council of nine” used when I researched satanism.
