God gives us free will and we chose to love God. Sometimes we do not see the effects of one’s free will and how it affects others (even years later).
So don’t blame God for man’s sins.
Trust in God and you will be rewarded many fold.
I didn’t blame God for man’s sin. Sin has many short and long term effects example Isaac and Ishmael and Israel is still paying the price for that. You are confusing man’s sin with the consequences. While God gives us free will to sin or not to sin He does indeed control the results. He does indeed use the consequences as correction for our lives.

The book of Job really shows that God allows many calamities in our life for purposes that we just can’t understand. God didn’t command the calamities into Job’s life, but he did indeed allow Satan to bring them on. Our God is a God of order not disorder! While we sin he turns our lemons into lemonade and thus order is restored. We may not see the correction as order, but sometimes pain is required to grow.
I do indeed trust God and I don’t always need and excuse or reason for why God does what He does. If blinding someone or any other disability is the temporary answer to their eternal salvation then I think that’s absolutely a good trade. Paul had a disability and God gave him and answer maybe not to his liking, but it’s the same answer I received for my disability, My Grace is enough!
