Jesus reached out to prostitutes ect. No way in heck would Jesus have turned away a child because his mother was a sinner.

Baptism creates obligations. The Church has always held it wrong to baptize a child who is not going to be raised to fulfill the obligations created by baptism.
This has nothing to do with prostitutes.

No reason on this good earth to penalize and punish an innocent. And, NOT allowing one of God's most innocent a CRUCIAL baptism is downright wrong, sinful and unChristian.
