I don't want to be alarmist, but why would the Pope pray towards Mecca, if he did?

He’s not the only post Vatican II pope who has prayed in mosques, kissed Korans, and attended interreligious prayer meetings.

Pope Francis is the Vatican Obama; apologies and socialism for all, moral principles for none.

It only came across my news feed last night, but it shouldn’t matter when because it means the Pope consecrated Islam.

You don’t understand. Every word of the English translation of the Bible has the EXACT SAME MEANING NOW as it did about 2000 years ago when they were uttered. (sarcasm off).

Pope Francis entered the Blue Mosque in Istanbul Turkey, where he took off his shoes, and bowed toward Mecca and made his prayer, as he stood next to Istanbul’s Grand Mufti Rahmi Yaran.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??!!

Mecca is south and east of the USA, unless you are in Asia, then it's a different direction. If one is in the southern hemisphere, then Mecca would be NORTH. Some places it might be north west. It's a big planet with 2.1 BILLION Christians.

ANYONE who is praying may face that southern city of the KSA--without even knowing it. Is facing in that direction a problem with any fervent soul who is praying to our good Lord? Is our good Lord concerned as to the planetary direction of our prayers? There might even be churches whose doors or pulpits face there.

Perhaps Christians should arm themselves with a compass so they always KNOW the planetary direction of their church and their prayers.

Lol. Of course, MANY of our public schools don't teach geography anymore so those students might not have CLUE ONE as to where Mecca is...or even WHAT it is.
They also may not care.
I sometimes think that our youngsters are NOT being taught ANYTHING about Christianity.

The Blue Mosque has the head of St. John the Baptist...in a very fancy, beautiful gold, 10' high structure. That is the tradition and belief, of course. Who really knows, besides God?
Anyway, Muslim imams sit around it, 24/7 and pray. St. John is considered a very holy man in Islam.

We went there on a Steve Ray tour. I thought the entire idea those imams had was BIZARRE.
Oh well, God is their judge, not me.
