What you say usually happened in the past. But now “those who do not walk with God” decided not to walk away and to take over the Church. This is like the spoiled arrogant children throwing out the parents who tell the children what is best for the children (the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults) and the children not only say no, but they throw out the CCC, and anyone else in the “old time religion” which still holds to the Ten Commandments!
