Are there any grounds to doubt?

Yes, there are. The vast majority of the dead in Christ shall rise at the trump of Christs return. She is just as likely to be in that crowd as any. Any opinions to the contrary are mere speculation. If you have any Bible verses that explicitly state she is in Heaven this very minute I would be glad to look at them. I really don't see where this one persons location at this time should merit this much attention when there are so many other things to worry about or do.

It always strikes me rather sorrowfully that there are those who really don't want to honor Christ's blessed Mother.

Their tone is belittlement and resentment.

Huh! Christ's Mother! Nothing special!

Some hold her to be some kind of common wench whom God Almighty could choose, use, and then drop. Or a purely instrumental Galilee Gestational Unit, a womb since one was needed, but as if unattached to a person, unimportant from a spiritual point of view.

And they say they believe in the Incarnation! When they express not even a normal, human sense of sacredness! So little cherishing this matchless Virgin and her Divine Child.

It makes me sad, as I said. I just don't know what I could say that would kindle a responding love.

You are quite ignorant of the terms, the Church and probably of Christianity outside of your own small heretical cult.

It always strikes me rather sorrowfully that there are those who really don't want to honor Christ's blessed Mother.
What you mean is honor her the exact same way you do.
Their tone is belittlement and resentment.
Have I belittled or resented her? I think not. But your tone towards me . . .
Christ's Mother! Nothing special!
Every soul redeemed by Christs Blood is special. His sacrifice washed away her sins and freed her.
Some hold her to be some kind of common wench
Name names. Or are you stuffing words in my mouth? That is dishonest.
It makes me sad
Then you choose sadness. Do not blame it on me. The Bible backs up my position on Mary and Rome backs up yours. To choose the words of men from Rome over the Word of God instills sadness, I suppose.

What is the exact point is that you're trying to make about the Seven Churches in Asia? I am not quite getting you. However, you are right when you say "YOU GUYS!!" (US guys, the Catholics!) founded these churches, for they were founded, as the Catholic Church is founded, upon the Apostles, and the successors who were taught and then sent forth by the Apostles.

It seems to me we need a little background for how the churches in Asia Minor were established.

Acts 19 records the establishing of the church in Ephesus, the capital of the Roman province of Asia. Paul had been there previously (Acts 18:19) , but he left to report to the rest of the church. Paul left two strong believers there at Ephesus to continue the work, a couple, Priscilla and Aquila. Paul returned about a year later.

When he got there this time, Paul encounters a group of about 12 men whom Luke describes as "disciples" (19:1) who had "believed" (19:2).

However, as Paul talked with them, he saw that they had not even heard that there was a Holy Spirit. They were disciples of John the Baptist, but they had not even gotten all of John’s teaching right. For John had taught, "He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."

Perhaps these men had been taught by Apollos, a Jew from Alexandria who was also a follower of John the Baptist. Apollos had been preaching to the Jews in Ephesus about the Lord, but he only knew the baptism of John (18:25). Priscilla and Aquila explained the way of Jesus to him more adequately. And from that point Apollos went out preaching that Jesus is the Christ.

As a result, Paul explained to them that the one of whom John prophesied had come, namely, Jesus. When they heard this, they believed in Christ and were baptized. Then Paul laid hands on them and the Holy Spirit came upon them. The men who received the teaching in Ephesus went into the outlying areas and established churches. The result was that "that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks." (Acts 19:10).

Many churches were established during these two years. Evidence strongly suggests that the seven churches of Revelation were founded at this time.

"'there are those who really don't want to honor Christ's blessed Mother.'...What you mean is honor her the exact same way you do."

Thanks so much for telling me what I mean, - :o)

but that is not what I meant.

I meant that even basic signs of affection and respect are denied her. Many don't call her "Blessed," though Mary prophesies that all generations of the faithful will do so. Many deny that she is anything special, when the Angel hailed her as Kecharitomene, an unparalleled title which means "she who was totally filled with grace." Many go out of their way to emphasize her alleged sinfulness, when God's Archangel saw her as holy!

Jesus Himself honored His mother, because He fulfilled in a magnificent way every commandment, and one of them was "Honor thy Father and thy Mother." He honored her, but there are Christians who bristle when she is honored by being called Blessed.

"'Some hold her to be some kind of common wench'... Name names. Or are you stuffing words in my mouth? That is dishonest."

I have been posting on FR since 1989, and this has come up many, many times -- but I hope you will excuse me if I do not dig out every shameful example from the archives. I am not putting these words in *your* mouth. I did not say it was you.

There were even FReepers who were regularly admonished by the Religion Moderator, for their insolence toward Mary.

The Mother of the Messiah!

Or, as she is prophesied in the Song of Solomon (tagline)---

To make it more clearer, "kecharitomene" is the perfect passive participle tense of the verb meaning "to fill with grace,"
Because it is in the perfect participle tense, it means that Mary was already filled with grace and there is no room for sin in her before the Annunciation, the implication being that she was the immaculate!

Or, as she is prophesied in the Song of Solomon (tagline)---
She IS???  I thought Catholic heads explode if their precious Universal Mother is described like this by heretical Prots!

Song of Solomon 6   Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the bed of aromatical spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

I to my beloved, and my beloved to me, who feedeth among the lilies.

Thou art beautiful, O my love, sweet and comely as Jerusalem: terrible as an army set in array.

Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have made me flee away. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from Galaad.

Thy teeth as a flock of sheep, which come up from the washing, all with twins, and there is none barren among them.

Thy cheeks are as the bark of a pomegranate, beside what is hidden within thee.

There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and young maidens without number.

One is my dove, my perfect one is but one, she is the only one of her mother, the chosen of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and declared her most blessed: the queens and concubines, and they praised her.

Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?

10 I went down into the garden of nuts, to see the fruits of the valleys, and to look if the vineyard had flourished, and the pomegranates budded.

11 I knew not: my soul troubled me for the chariots of Aminadab.

12 Return, return, O Sulamitess: return, return that we may behold thee.

Chapter 7

1 What shalt thou see in the Sulamitess but the companies of camps? How beautiful are thy steps in shoes, O prince's daughter! The joints of thy thighs are like jewels, that are made by the hand of a skillful workman.

Thy navel is like a round bowl never wanting cups. Thy belly is like a heap of wheat, set about with lilies.

Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins.

Thy neck as a tower of ivory. Thy eyes like the fishpools in Hesebon, which are in the gate of the daughter of the multitude. Thy nose is as the tower of Libanus, that looketh toward Damascus.

Thy head is like Carmel: and the hairs of thy head as the purple of the king bound in the channels.

How beautiful art thou, and how comely, my dearest, in delights!

Thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes.

I said: I will go up into the palm tree, and will take hold of the fruit thereof: and thy breasts shall be as the clusters of the vine: and the odour of thy mouth like apples.

Thy throat like the best wine, worthy for my beloved to drink, and for his lips and his teeth to ruminate.

10 I to my beloved, and his turning is towards me.

11 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field, let us abide in the villages.

12 Let us get up early to the vineyards, let us see if the vineyard flourish, if the flowers be ready to bring forth fruits, if the pomegranates flourish: there will I give thee my breasts.

13 The mandrakes give a smell. In our gates are all fruits: the new and the old, my beloved, I have kept for thee.

Yup; and according to you FR Catholics; they HEARD the Word from the MOUTHS of CATHOLICS.

There weren't any others; were they!

Therefore; reasonable persons can decide whether they were taught TRUTH or ERROR by those CATHOLICS.

"Therefore; reasonable persons can decide whether they were taught TRUTH or ERROR by those CATHOLICS."

Since the Catholics you're talking about are in fact the Apostles and those taught personally by them, as described in the Acts of the Apostles, "reasonable persons" will assume that some churches start out with sound Apostolic doctrine, and then fall into some degree of error.

ALL of the Epistles --- by Paul, Peter, James, John, and Jude --- have page after page of this kind of problem. That's why once-faithful congregations have to be corrected from time to time--- by the Apostles, their assistants (like Priscilla and Aquila), and their successors (like Timothy and Titus).

Or even Remedial Catechism teachers like --- ahem--- yours truly.

It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it!
