God does not do for you what He has given you the capacity to understand and do what he wants you to do for yourself. He does not encourage parasites and ne'er-do-wells. Nor does He affirm the misplaced compassion of others toward oneself. IMHO, and backed by instances in Scripture TNTC.
To the Pharisees, sinners were “parasites and ne’er-do-wells.” Yet the only people Jesus actually condemned publicly were the Pharisees while Jesus welcomed the “parasites and ne’er-do-wells.”
Jesus was “a friend of publicans and sinners” (Matt 11:19).
