Because we have leaders and jurists who are not Constitutionalists. Instead they are committed to the end of the United States and its traditions.
I was thinking right after I hit “Post” I should have noted the question was rhetorical.
It merely points-out (not that it needs to be pointed-out) that the Federal government no longer considers itself to be constrained by the Constitution.
